When the final bell echoed loudly in the room, I let out the biggest sigh stretching out of my seat half asleep and bored out of my mind. Today was the last day of school and we had just taken our final of the day meeting it was officially summer break. Ethan held the art door open for me while we sluggishly walked to our lockers. A long groan came next to me and I turned seeing Sage and Landon with the same expression.

" I think I fried my brain." Sage whined.

" You?" I questioned." Our art teacher made us right ten paragraphs on the Mona Lisa."

" I never hated a painting so much." Ethan piped in while I nodded my head.

" How was your history exam anyway?"

" Well, Ray of Darkness." Landon said causing me to smile at my nickname." We had to write five paragraphs on World War 2 and then another one on the Vietnam War and then the last one was a compare and contrast about the two wars."

" Okay, maybe you won on fried brains." I said finally getting to my locker and opening it to see just my phone since we couldn't have it on us for the exam.

" Hey guys!" A voice broke out.

" There's our graduate." Ethan proudly declared hugging Evie.

I smiled," Excited for today?" I asked.

She mirrored the same smile, if not bigger," You bet!" She exclaimed showing us her arms." I just picked up my very first cap and gown ever. I actually did it. I waited centuries for this moment."

" You know what I just realized." Landon spoke." This will be us next year."

The thought never occur that this time next year, we'll be in Evie's shoes grabbing are caps and gown's ready to head into the real world.

" Oh my god, you're right." Sage gasped by his side." I wonder what that'll be like."

" Probably us all being annoyed at the thousand of pictures each member of our family will be taking." I said knowing that it was highly likely to happen.

Ethan laughed," Come on, we got a graduation to head to."

I smiled following the others to the parking lot and quickly leaving in order to get ready. Thinking about Evie's own graduation, I started to have butterflies in my stomach imagining when I would graduate. Looking at my life now, I couldn't see myself being an adult that went to college and perhaps lived with someone other than my parents. I couldn't see myself not going to school five days out of the week.

Maybe it was great that I had a year until I reached that life. That I'll have some left over teenage high school time before actually facing the real world. Before I knew it, I was back in Ethan's Jeep driving back to school seeing this time, the parking lot filled with proud parents and some other students for their siblings. The fun didn't end there when the actual ceremony started being very boring.

It was our principal talking about how "great" our school was and the dedication he put into the school for us to enjoy every day. I practically rolled my eyes at the statement knowing he didn't do anything. Paris's father giving money so his daughter could do everything was what gave this school funds. Afterwards, some senior teachers came onto stage speaking highly of the grade and how hard they had worked. Next was the class president which made me smile and laugh at how great her speech was.

" Ugh, why does it have to be so hot today?" Sage groaned fanning her face in annoyance.

" It's only 88 degrees." I mentioned.
