He put those thoughts away as he showered and headed to the office.
He was customarily the first to arrive, but this morning he could see lights in his office suite as he pulled up to the building.

Frowning, he exited the elevator.  Jungkook was working undercover at this location until the government contract was secure.

Kookie had been with Jin since he interned his first summer of college.  He was bold and wild and always had women hanging off of him but he had turned into a hell of an investigator.

Maybe he had come early to secure the reports or to bum breakfast, it was 50/50 with him.

Jim smiled as he entered his office, expecting to see Jungkook eager to give his report and hustle food in return.

The smile faded as he entered the outer office to find it empty.

He went on alert as he heard, then saw someone in his private office.  No one was allowed in there without him, not even his head of security. But right now, his door was open and he could clearly see someone moving near his desk.

Jin silently put down his briefcase and moved to his door.  As he crossed his threshold he stopped to stare, unsure of what he was seeing.  There behind his desk stood his new secretary, Ms. Min, cupping a steaming mug of coffee in her hands, flipping through his calendar.

The girl must have sensed him because she suddenly turned toward the door, spilling the coffee in her scrambling.  She immediately began to apologize, tears springing to her eyes as she tried hurry past Jin.

“Good mmmorning Mr. Kim.  I was just ahh, just …” she stuttered as she tried to clean the coffee from his desk and floor.

He walked past her and paged security and housekeeping.

“Ms. Min.  You had excellent recommendations, a whistle clean background check and were very highly recommended.  Actually, someone called in a couple of personal favors to get you in this office.  However, security is primary here, especially now.  This is your only warning.”

As he finished speaking Jungkook walked in the outer office, his hair slightly damp and starting to curl.  Jin looked at the black leather jacket he wore over his khaki pants and white dress shirt.  He made a mental note of his lack of necktie.

A look passed between the men and Jungkook began to whistle and strolled in the door.

“Hey! Is this the way to the Human Resource office?  I need to see about getting my check,” he asked.

Jin watched the girl turn to scold the intruder and waited for her inevitable reaction to Jungkook.

He watched in fascination as she caught his face, watched the flush of her cheeks and the hitch in her breathing.  To her credit she composed herself quickly.

“Sir!  You are not allowed in here.  HR is on the second floor.  Security will escort you out,” she managed.

Jin smiled at the offended look on Kook's face.  Before he could start on whatever back story, he had invented for this job Jin interrupted.

“That makes two of you who are not supposed to be in here. Security is lacking” he said.  Jungkook raised an eyebrow at that.

“Escort him down to Human Resources.  I want you both counseled over this.  It will be noted in your records.,” Jin finished, waving them off.

He noted Jungkook watching her closely.  Neither of them missed the tears gathering in her eyes.

As the pair trudged off, Jin cursed and gathered the reports to read on the leather couch.  He lost himself in the figures and projections, working through housekeeping cleaning the mess, through his secretary returning, through lunch even.
