A couple of days after my cringe-worthy meeting with both of my parents, I yet again ended up on the front stoop of 221B Baker Street. I gazed at the now-familiar greenish-black door with the rusted knocker as I awaited a reply to my knock. As usual, Mrs. Hudson answered the door with a bright smile on her face.

"Oh hello, lovey! Come in come in!"

I stepped into the building and smiled at her slightly. "May I go up?"

"Oh, yes of course!" Man, she could be way too chipper. But hey, to each their own.

As I made my way up the creaking stairs I heard chuckles coming from my uncle's flat. I approached the entrance cautiously and sneaked a peek inside. There he was, standing in the middle of his flat talking and laughing with a short, shy-looking girl. Hmm..short, brunette, awkward, and innocent-looking, not to mention her bad fashion sense. This must be Molly Hooper, going by what he had described to me. Sherlock glimpsed over and caught my eye, and he blushed slightly as if he had been caught in the act.

I walked in and smirked, "This must be Molly Hooper."

"Yes."

Molly turned around and smiled at me. "And you must be Sherlock's niece Sadie. It's nice to finally meet you!"

"Uh, yeah you too." I shook her hand lightly.

"Sherlock aren't we supposed to be going on a case today?"

"Yes, well er...Lestrade has been lazy and doesn't want to put in the effort to find one for me so we don't have any to solve yet."

"Right, well can we do something while we are waiting to take our minds off of it? Like an experiment?"

"Sure."

Molly smiled a bit but looked slightly awkward since we weren't including her. "Well, I'd better be off. I have to feed Toby and then head to the lab to catch up on some paperwork..but Sherlock I'll see you later?"

Sherlock seemed to have not listened much. "Hmm? Oh yeah. Yes later. Goodbye Molly."

"Bye Sherlock." With that, she picked up her bag and left the flat. Sherlock and I turned to the kitchen to do some experiments. It was silent at first before I piped up.

"You were totally flirting you know."

"Wha..? I was not! I don't /flirt/."

"Yeah, you do."

"I wasn't! I don't even like sentiment."

"Wow you must be pretty thick if you didn't realize it...but Sherlock she loves you, you know."

He looked shocked. "I'm sorry? No, she doesn't. She couldn't."

"Yes, she could. For some reason she loves you for who you are, just like my mum loves your brother for who he is. Yeah..we're different but..maybe this just means that there is hope for us. That we have some sentiment in us after all, even if we aren't prone to like it usually..."

Instead of cringing, this time I smiled, because I knew that he secretly loved her as well.

He shrugged. "I wasn't flirting."

I sighed heavily and rolled my eyes at him. "Whatever you say, Sher."

"So experiments?"

I smile and pick up a slide. "Obviously."
