After retrieving Izuku and practically carrying him to the kitchen, everyone was ready to go. Since they were a...special... class, they were allowed to go off schedule whenever necessary, so it was no issue for Izuku to be slowly hand fed by Todoroki, Katsuki standing over them with his arms crossed and eyes narrowed, refusing to look away for even a second.
Finally, they filed into the bus. Izuku sat next to Todoroki, Shinso in the seat next to them, with Kaminari in the window seat. Everyone was pretty spread out, and light hearted chatter filled the bus, which turned into a tense silence as the bus passed the gate and pulled into the school.
"Alright, everyone out," Aizawa ordered, waiting in front of the bus. Mic stood besides him, silently counting off the kids in his head as they trudged out.
"You can go on in, class starts in ten minutes, so say hi to friends and go straight to the home room."
Katsuki snorted at the 'friends', and joined Kirishima, Kaminari, Jirou, Mina, and Sero as they headed inside. Everyone started to do that, breaking into their own little groups until only Shinso, Todoroki and Izuku were left with Mic.
"You little listeners going to be okay?" Mic asked. "I have to get to class, too."
Todoroki waved at him lazily. "We'll be fine."
Mic gave them a hesitant nod before heading off in the same direction as everyone else, leaving the three boys alone. Todoroki nodded at Shinso, and they each went to one of Izuku's sides, gently nudging him towards the school.
Izuku kept his gaze on the ground. He didn't want to look up and see everything. The noise itself was already overwhelming him. He hated it. He hated everything. He hated life. Todoroki and Shinso made some small talk, but Izuku didn't mind it any attention. He didn't care what they were talking about. It wasn't Eri so it didn't concern him.
The first bell rang making the halls started to clear. Shinso gave a tired groan. "At the speed we're gonna be late. And I'm not in the mood to receive shit for it."
Todoroki nodded. "I have an idea. Help me get him on my back." Shinso and Todoroki struggled for a minute to get a limp Izuku onto his back, but once he was on, Todoroki piggybacked him the rest of the way. Until they realized they had no clue where they were going, at least.
"If we're lost, I blame you." Shinso sighed.
"You're the one who said to take that right!" Todoroki argued.
"That didn't mean you had to listen!"
"Then you shouldn't have said it if you didn't want me to do it!"
Izuku rested his head on Todoroki's shoulder as the two continued to bicker. Finally he tapped Todoroki's shoulder, getting his attention, and pointed at a hall. *Then a left, one more right, and it's the first door*, he signed.
"Thanks," Todoroki said, cutting Shinso off from his next words by proceeding in the said direction. Shinso grumbled something inaudibly, but followed nonetheless.
They didn't bother not on the classroom door before going in, making Aizawa glare at them. "You're late."
Shinso matched his glare. "We're here now, aren't we?" He took a seat in one of the few open ones without waiting for a response, Todoroki putting Izuku in a sets behind Katsuki, and going to his own seat in a far corner.
Aizawa rubbed his eyes, already done with the day. "I'll let it go this time."
***
The school day was boring and long, and work continued to stack in front of Izuku while he sat there mindlessly, thoughts only on his dead little sister. Mic tried to coax him into doing even some independent work, but the boy didn't so much as twitch.
