Izuku raced into his room and slammed the door behind him. Todoroki easily opened it, no locks on the inside after all, and slipped in behind Izuku with his arms crossed. "Talk."

Izuku groaned. "No! Do I need to spell it out for you? N. O."

"Izuku, I just want to help. Let me help!"

Tears pricked at Izuku's eyes. "Why do you want to help? I don't understand! I never understand!"

A soft look overtook Todoroki. "Why did you help Kirishima and Mina the other day? Why does Aizawa help all of us? Why do people do anything? There's no right answer, Izuku. I'm going to help whether you want me to or not, so you might as well help me figure out what I can do to help so I'm not running around like a headless chicken."

"Chickens run around when their headless?"

"Izuku!"

Izuku went quiet and quickly weighed out his options here. Finally, he reluctantly nodded at Todoroki. "You can help. But we're doing this my way. Okay?"

A real smile lit up Todoroki's face. "Deal."

Overhaul lifted his head as he stalked into the bar. He slammed the doors open carelessly and nodded at Kurogiri and Shigaraki, ignoring everyone else.

"What do you want?" Shigaraki hissed, already scratching at his neck in irritation.

"I found the little girl," Overhaul responded. "Just thought I'd inform you. I want payment for almost losing her in the first place."

"Like what?" Kurogiri suspiciously narrowed his eyes.

Overhaul didn't respond, instead whipping out his gun and before anyone could react, he shot the nearest unimportant person to him. Magne.

Magne's eyes widened in shock as she collapsed to the ground, Toga and Dabi instantly dropping with her and pressing a hand to her chest to try and stop the bleeding. Compress brought out his own gun and aimed it at Compress at the same time as Spinner, Shigaraki and Kurogiri.

"MAGNE!"

She tried to say something- anything, but her throat was too choked up with blood to do anything but gurgle helplessly. She grabbed Toga's hand and squeezed it reassuringly right before it fell limp. Magne's eyes stared into nothing, glossed over and dull. Dead.

Toga brought out a knife and wiped away tears in her eyes before swinging at Overhaul who dodged her attacks as she kept going, desperate to hit her target as tears streamed down her face. "You will pay for that!" She snarled viciously.

Dabi was impressed. He had never seen Toga so determined before. He refused to move from Magne's side. She had done so much for him- and he was so useless to her when it really mattered. Again. All this had been was a fucked up sick revision of time. Dabi hated it. Later, he'd punch things and scream his throat raw, but he'd wait until he was alone for that. He could wait.

Shigaraki was not impressed and his eyes narrowed. "That was completely unnecessary."

"On the contrary, it was needed to remind you of what happens without our alliance." Overhaul met Shigaraki's glare with a clear face, daring him to challenge him.

Toga ceased her attacks to see what Shigaraki would say.

As much as Shigaraki was itching to shoot him, he pushed it down. He wouldn't let it go though. No- he'd make him pay.

No one said anything as Overhaul turned and left, Toga glaring viciously with tears in her eyes.

"We are going to get him back, right Shigaraki?" Toga hissed when he was gone.
