Yukio laid in his bed that night unable to sleep, he kept thinking about the lady with the long green hair, "I can change your lives" her voice replayed in his head like a scratched up record. He walked over to the sliding door and gently closed it behind him as he sat on a cold steel chair on the motels rusted, old balcony breathing in the cold crisp air. He placed his arms on the rails as he gazed up at the stars, the moon was the only thing lighting up the night, everything was so peaceful and calm.

'How much longer can we keep living like this, bouncing around from one town to the next trying to scrape up enough money to find a place to sleep and eat.. Everything seemed a lot easier in my head when I thought it would be good for us to travel. I didn't plan to far ahead..' He looked back through the window at his sleeping sister and smiled, 'What's one phone call going to hurt.' He thought to himself as he jumped down from the rusted structure, over the rail and walked down the street to an old payphone, he pulled out the card from his pant pocket and dialed the numbers.

*Ring . Ring . Ring .*

"Hello" A voice answered on the other side of the line.

"Is this Risa?" He asked.

"Yes, this is she."

"It's the Wolf you spoke to earlier today, the one with the fox, my names Yukio and that was my baby sister Akira. I'm sorry to be calling so late.. but.. I just.." The wolf rambled, feeling dumb, he finally just blurted out "Can you really change our lives." He finally asked.

"Yes." She replied "Tell you what big guy, meet me downtown at that corner steak place tomorrow around 12:30 and I'll answer all the questions you have. Oh and bring that cute little fox of yours."

*CLICK*

Yukio looked at the phone a bit confused "So forward aren't you." He said out loud as he hung up the phone, a small smile crossed his face, he felt something he hasn't for a while now and that was.. hope. He walked back to the old, wooden run down motel. He jumped up onto the balcony and opened the sliding door.

"Everything ok?" The sleepy fox asked as she rubbed her eyes trying to focus on him.

"Everything's fine, go back to sleep, we have a big day tomorrow." He said patting his sisters head. She turned around and fell back into a slumber.

*THAT FOLLOWING MORNING*

The smell of coffee danced around the wolfs nose as he opened his eyes to a fresh cup by his bedside and a small note next to it. He smiled and looked around but his sister was nowhere in sight. He walked out towards the balcony and sat on the chair basking in the sun as he opened the note and read,

"Went to the store to get some food for breakfast shouldn't be gone long."

*At the store*

"Mommy look a fox!" A little boy in a white shirt and blue pants said tugging at his mothers dress and pointing towards Akira. "Oh sweetheart don't give it any attention, who knows what kind of diseases it may have." The snobby woman said pulling her child away from the aisle.

Akira passed the rude lady and whispered to her "Yea be careful, I bite." She smirked and walked away from the now fuming woman who was mumbling under her breath.

The little fox let out a giggle as she continued shopping.

A few minutes passed and the angry lady with the child came marching to the aisle Akira was on and pointed at the fox "That's the beast who threatened to attack me and my son!" She yelled towards a large man that stood at least 6'0 tall, he had a very muscular body and a silver badge that read "security" on it.
