Chapter 11~ Tree climbing? Crap.

*Emerin's POV*

Why is it dark? Why is it cold? I've been drifting. How long has it been since I came here? It feels like forever.

But... time shouldn't matter anymore. Not here anyway. Not in this pitch-black hell.

No one can hear me. I'm on my own.

Wait. There's a light. It's beckoning me. Calling out to me. Telling me... never give up. Cling on to life... for as long as I can.

I reached out and grasped the light. It engulfed me, chasing away the darkness.

*Reality*

I slowly opened my eyes, the sunlight literally blinding me. Oh, jeez. The light tells me to wake up and when I do, it blinds me?! That's rude.

I blinked a few times and I started to see. I was in a room, laying on a mattress. I started to sit up, and a sharp pain cut through me and I winced. I looked down to see my stomach covered in bandages.

"Ugh, I feel as if Sasuke's huge ego fell on me." I muttered. Hey, I really mean it. I mean, I hurt everywhere. My head hurt, my face hurt, my limbs hurt,my hair hurt(LOL what?)my- uh, I don't think I'm gonna say that one.

I grabbed my katana that was lying next to me and leaned on it for support. Of course it's been sheathed you idiot. I'm not the kind to leave holes on the ground.

When I walked, the stupid katana made a 'thunk, scree" sound. And that sucked. Mainly because I didn't want anyone to know I was awake.

Suddenly, I was tackled to the ground and I winced in pain. I opened my eyes to beet with sapphire blue eyes. "EMERIN!!" Naruto yelled. I winced at his volume. Damn, I winced three times already.

"You're loud." I said simply. "OH MY GOD, HOW CAN I HELP-?" "By shutting up." Naruto then shut up.

"Jeez, is it me or is Naruto more active then usual?" I asked myself. "You were out for three days. What do you expect?" Kakashi Sensei asked from the door.

"Oh hi sensei. By the way, could you get Naruto off me?" I gestured to Naruto who was busy hugging my legs. And me tell you, that is not comfortable when, you know, you're lying on the floor.

Kakashi sensei sighed and dragged Naruto off me. "By the way, what are we doing today?" I asked Sensei. And all he said was "Tree climbing in the forest." And I was like " OH HELL NAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Why? For one thing, there is such a thing as a spider which exists in the forest. And in case you haven't noticed, spiders and I don't mix.

But did you expect Kakashi Sensei to listen to me? No! No one listens to Emerin! Emerin's opinion is not needed! Emerin has to do what the sensei says! Ugh, stupid life.

Yeah, so that's why I'm currently in a stupid forest with all the stupid spiders , listening to the stupid sensei on how to do some stupid tree climbing to train our stupid chakra control and stupid chakra manipulation!

Kakashi Sensei tossed us a kunai. I'm pretty sure Sakura said something but I blocked it out. "Mark how high you get with the kunai. Any questions?" "Yeah, is this how you get your hair to defy gravity?" I asked, grinning like a mad scientist. Kakashi Sensei sweatdropped. "Alright!! I'm the fastest developer on this team and I'll get bit in no time!! Believe it!" Naruto yelled. Famous last words.

*Kakashi's POV*

I watched as my students started climbing. After 5 seconds, I got bored and decided to read my *Ahem* adult book. After a while, I looked up. Naruto and Sasuke were still on the floor. Sakura was on high branch and Emerin was nowhere to be found.

I snapped my book shut and walked over to them before talking. "Alright, even though Naruto brags that he's going to become hokage, it seems as if Sakura has a better chance of becoming hokage. Even the mighty Uchiha seems to have fallen." Sakura's smug expression was replace by one of anger as she pointed an accusing finger at me. "How could you sensei?!"

"Well, Kakashi sensei is stating facts- ow!" Everyone turned to see Emerin fall off a tree that was further off to the side.

"Ow ow ow ow!" Emerin grumbled as she dusted dirt off herself.

"Rin-chan!" Naruto yelled.

"I'm ok- Ow!" I sweatdropped at that. What Emerin said contradicted with what she actually felt.

*Emerin's POV*

Nursing my bruised shoulder which had taken the worst of the fall was harder then I thought. Mainly since I had almost zero experience in first aid. Well, I never had to worry since I always healed fast...

Looking at my shoulder which was swelling just moments earlier, I saw the nasty bluish purple fade away until it was gone completely. Mowing my shoulder up and down to test if it was ok, I stood up, fired up to try the tree climbing again.

*Five minutes later...*

My eye twitched as I glared at the tree. I made it a little higher but I couldn't get it!

I swear, I can hear the tree laughing at me.

Griping the kunai harder until my knuckles turned white, I concentrated chakra to my feet.

I will do this. I thought to myself, full of determination.

Running up the tree, o got blasted off before I made it past the half mark.

"Ok... I can't do this..." I groaned. Just then, I caught sight of Naruto.

He was faring was worse then I was and yet, he was still going strong.

Getting up once more, decided to try something new.

Closing my eyes, I focused my chakra evenly at my feet. Before, I didn't spread my chakra evenly.

So, once I finished, I prepared to climb once again.

Running up, I made a significant amount of improvement. I made it up to a high branch before my stomach wound opened up slightly. Blood soaked through the bandages and stained my kimono a bit.

That's when I fell. It hurt like hell, but they don't need to know that. So, I pretended that I just lost control of my chakra for a bit, causing my fall.

"Rin-chan!" I heard Naruto yell. "Are you alright?!"

"Don't worry! I'm fine!" Then I blacked out.

Hey guys! Sorry for the late chapter but I was having a serious case of writer's block. I was actually thinking of writing more for this chapter but I decided that since I was late for publishing this chapter, I would write what I was thinking of writing in the next chapter.

I don't think this chapter is as good as the others.Damn! I'm losing my touch!
