Vic's pov

Something is wrong with kellin, okay maybe not. I have no idea. But he just seems so.. distance from everything? I understand not liking crowded places but kellin sometimes randomly leaves the cafeteria and he's always skipping gym class.

I dont have gym with him but since I'm in the class next to the gym I always see him leaving. It's super easy to skip that class. The couche doesn't even care as long as your not wondering halls or disturbing anything. I asked kellin about it and he just said he wanted to be alone.

This is why in skipping my class. I'm going to see where he does and why. I'm standing next to a vending machine waiting for him to pass this hall. When he does round the corner I take in his appearance because approaching him. He has on a black long sleeve shirt with ripped black jeans, his black jacket tied at around his hips and he's grabbing some of his hair as he walks with his eyes casted down to the floor.

If dressing a way indicated what mood you were in it would be obvious that hes sad. But that's not how it works. Yeah clothes can do that but that doesn't mean if someone wears soft colored clothes they are happy and dark clothes means sad. It's a style.

However how he carries himself makes him fit the description of a depressed kid full of anxiety. He's holding his elbow making a four shape with his arms. Before he passes me I start walking beside him and he gasps looking at me startled and jumping back.

"Oh my god! You just scared the shit out of me," he tells me now playfully smacking me in the arm. He now has a smile on his face and we start walking.

"Abusive," I say jokingly holding my arm as if I'm really hurt. His smile falters and he looks at my arm.

"I'm joking," I say and drop the act. His smile returns and he takes me to the library.

"Why are you following me?" He asks biting his lip. Oh god dont do that to your soft pink lips. Let me- woah vic, shut your brain off. This is kellin, he's probably not into you.

Stupid respond or he's going to think your weird! I look up at him to see He's already looking at me. "Oh, I just wanted to skip class with you," I say smoothly.

The ends of his lips twist into a small smile. "Okay but its pretty boring, I just sit here and read," he says sitting in the back corner of the library where nobody can see or here him. I sit too and watch as he pulls out a book.

"I hide theses here, nobody's going to look for them in the encyclopedia shelf," he says and I see it's called 'in all the bright places'.

"What's it about?" I ask and he bites his bottom lip again. He pearly white teeth capturing his soft lips. Kellin is beautiful and I almost have the feeling he wasn't born a guy. He's just so feminine. However Alan told me about how he once kicked Kellin in the balls because he was being rude to him so I understand that he is in fact a guy.

"Its about.. um.. a guy; Theodore Finch but people call him Theodore Freak because he's so chaotic. He's like the class clown I guess. He meets a girl up on a school bell tower and both of them were thinking about jumping off but he talked her down and that ruined his plans. Ummm, they have a class together and she embarrassed herself on accident so he 'accidentally' knocked everything off his desk making everything fly in different directions. It's so good, that's were I am in the book so far but, like, it's way better if you just read it," he's smiling as he talks about the book with passion.

"I'd have to read it some time," I tell him and his eyes flicker to my lips and then he looks away to his book blushing. Blushing? Wait? Could it be possible that he likes me?

I smile and watch him read for a moment before getting up. "I'm going to find a book so I can read with you," I tell him and he nods.

When I get back with a book called 'impulse' he looks at it then me. "T-thats um.. that's a sad book," he comments.

"Well I guess you get to see me sad," I joke as I sit down next to him and open the red book.
