Sighing, I walked away from the score board. "Mou! How did I get such terrible grades?!" I ruffled my hair in frustration.
"Nina?" I looked up and saw Imayoshi looking at me weirdly. "What are you doing?" "E-Er... nothing!" I laughed nervously.
"Come to think of it, today is the day that the first year's exam results are issued... How were your results?" he asked.
"Don't mention it. Aside from my Mathematics and English, the rest of it are not as good as you think it might be." I sighed.
"Well, that's too bad then." Imayoshi shrugged.
There was some silence until he broke it, "Why don't I tutor you?"
"EH?! Really?!" I squealed in joy.
Knowing that Imayoshi has an outstanding IQ, I nodded vigorously. "Then, after school I'll meet you in the library." He waved and walked off.
- In the Library -
I went in and saw Imayoshi already sitting there. "Sorry for the wait." I said, sitting down and placing my bag on the chair beside me.
"Now, let's start with Science." he said, taking out some reference books on basic science.
"Eh~ Can't we just skip that and move on to Geography?" I whined.
"No. I know that Science is your weakest subject. Now, take out your notebooks and pens, I'll start teaching." Imayoshi instructed like a teacher.
I pouted but obeyed.
- 2 Hours Later -
"I can't take it anymore..." I let out a sigh.
"Just a little more," Imayoshi convinced.
"Nope! I'm giving up, I can't understand anything!" I said, pouting.
Imayoshi was shocked by what I just said. "WHAT?! I skipped basketball practice just to teach you and it's already been two hours! And you didn't understand anything?!" he yelled.
"Shh! Imayoshi-senpai, you're too loud!" I whispered.
He looked around and saw some students staring at him. Imayoshi quickly sat down. "Anyways, I'm going to make sure you memories the Science formulas!" he harshly whispered.
"Simple for you to say..." I mumbled. Imayoshi scribbled down some questions on the notebook, "Here, try solving these questions."
- A Few Moments Later -
"I'm done." I gave the notebook to Imayoshi, "How could you be so stupid..." he knocked me over the head.
"Ittai!" I winced and he face-palmed.
"I guess I'll have to re-explain everything..." he sighed.
- Another 2 Hours Later -
"Got it?" Imayoshi asked.
"Somewhat.."
"Now... Try solving these advanced questions." he gave me the notebook. I took my pen and started using the formula he had taught me.
"Finished." I handed back his notebook.
He analyzed it and had an ear-to-ear smile on his face. "Good job, you actually got all of them correct." he patted me on the head.
When I was thinking about his compliment, something he had said triggered in my mind.
"Wait... what do you mean by ACTUALLY?!"
He laughed, "You're such a slowpoke, aren't ya'?"
I blushed, "U-Urusai!"
