After that little awkward reunion, we were all sitting inside the building thinking of what to do next. It had gotten dark outside and the silence was deafening.
"Orochimaru?" Sarada asked.
"Yeah, Kakashi-sensei told me that he had a feeling the enemy could be connected to Orochimaru this time." Lord Naruto explained.
'Please!' I rolled my eyes continuing my meditation.
"Who's that?" The second young girl, who's name I learned was Cho Cho asked.
"There's no way Maru has any part in that Shin's plans." I voice my thoughts.
"Maru?" Lord Naruto looked at me.
"Even if he was part of this don't you have him under constant surveillance 'Lord Hokage'? Surly your spies would have informed you if such suspicions actions were true." I open an eye to look at the Seventh lord.
"I guess, but we should still consult him, maybe he will know a thing or two to help us." He added.
I chuckled.
"What makes you think he'll help you?" I chuckle.
"Ukai!" Father gave me a stern look.
"Oh, save the lecture," I wave him off standing.
"I'm not a scared little boy anymore, and giving me the stink eye isn't going to shut me up like it used to." I hiss at him.
As I stood in front of him I could tell I was as tall as him. Well, maybe a few cms shorter but still. I had matured perfectly over these 10 years. My shoulders were broad and I had a good amount of muscle. I was strong, my face and jawline had shaped nicely and my voice sounded like someone mixed Father's and Lord Naruto's voices together, it was even but rough.
"I haven't forgiven you, but right now, the mission and MY Mother, come first," I mumble to him.
"Hmm. In order to track Shin's whereabouts, it will be helpful to learn all that we can from Orochimaru, let's head over to his research lab." Father began to walk away from me.
"Assuming he'll tell us anything." I began to follow.
"Wait, Dad!" Sarada stood.
"What is it?" Father turned to the brat.
"How~ how can you and Ukai be so calm right now? Don't you care at all about how Mom is doing?" Sarada looked back and forth between Father and me.
'The nerve! She's my mother too, brat!'
'Tsk!' I clicked my tounge at my sister.
Lord Naruto tried to explain something to Sarada but Father cut him off.
"Personal feelings don't matter. Emotions will only get in the way of a mission, you should remember that if you wanna be a shinobi." Father lectured.
"Cut the brat some slack, you weren't around to teach her that remember, she doesn't know any better," I tell my father.
Father looked at me before at Sarada. I still remember when he taught me that lesson. It's not something I think this brat would have passed.
"Let's go," Father then added.
"Maybe you two should come with us, what do you say?" Lord Naruto said to Sarada and her friend.
"Naruto come on..."
"You can't be serious?" Father and I say at the same time.
"Remember they came after Sarada as well, so I think it will be safer if we all stay together you know." Lord Naruto added.
