Kazane

"Finally... home sweet home," I sigh as Ukai and I stand face to face with the Konohagakure Village main gates.

The sky was a dark shade of orange and purple as the evening sun began to set, the wind softly blowing through the trees and our hair.

"Yeah... we're finally back."

I looked up from the gates to the face of the tall Uchiha male standing beside me. My partner and I entered the village, looking around and noticing there was very little activity on the streets for this time of night.

"Where is everyone? The streets are usually still bustling at this time..." I comment, looking around at the abandoned streets.

I felt Ukai squeeze my hand a little tighter as we continued to walk through the empty streets. I looked up at him, though his eyes were occupied with our surroundings, before turning my own gaze back around.

"Listen..." Ukai suddenly paused, turning to face me and staring straight ahead with a finger up next to his ear.

"T.e K.m..nar..on ..pany .s ..ju.t!" A light echo of chanting reached my ears.

"Yeah... what's is that?"

"Come on," Ukai jumped into the air, never letting go of my hand and pulling me along with him onto the roof.

"Ah... look!" I pointed ahead of us to a group of people walking with protest boards and chanting.

"The Kaminarimon Company is unjust! The Kaminari Company is done!"

"Are those the villagers?"

"What's got them so upset?" Ukai asked as we jumped from building to building.

"Ukai, look, Sarada," I called to my partner as his sister popped up into my vision from the front of the mob, standing behind a barrier protecting the Kaminerimon Company.

"Sarada!" Ukai called out to his sister, gaining her attention as we jumped down in front of her.

"Ukai! You're back," Sarada called back, running up to and hugging Ukai.

The older Uchiha released my hand and hugged his sister back, kneeling to her level with his hands on either side of her arms.

"Sarada what's going on here?" He asked looking around before back into his sister's eyes.

"The Byakuya Gang has convinced the whole Village that the Kaminarimon Company is corrupt... they're all in an uproar and we can't get them to stop," Sarada explained.

"Anyone who lives in this village would know that's not true, there is something not right here..." Ukai stated as he stood.

"Wait here, I'll see if I can't find out what's going on with the other Jounin,"

"No, you stay with Sarada, if things go bad here they might need yours and her Sharingan... I will go help the others..." I stop my partner, explaining my reasoning.

Ukai gave me an unsure look... one telling me he didn't want me going out there alone... especially if it meant running into the guy who had him hospitalized for 5 days.

"Trust me..." I gave him a pointed look but a soft smile.

Ukai turned his gaze from mine, clenching his jaw and grinding his teeth at that statement. He knew I knew it was his weak point in arguments and that I was going to use it to my advantage. The Uchiha male looked back at me upset for a second before sighing and nodding.

"Fine... just be careful..." He told me.

"And... don't die..." He added.

I raised my eyebrows amused before smiling and humming a laugh.

"I should be telling you that... Don't do anything reckless till I get back ok Uchiha," I chuckled, waving before jumping away to help the other Jounin.

"Just go will ya!" Ukai called after me.

'Hmm hmm,' I chuckled to myself before turning my gaze to the ground looking for any Jounin or Genin that may need my help.

"Hey! Kazane!" I landed on the roof closest to me and turned my head to my caller.

"Shikamaru," I jumped down to the older male who was stood beside a Genin boy with light blue hair and yellow eyes.

"Sir, I am here to assist,"

"Great, we need to find Boruto and my son, they've supposedly run off after the escaped Byakuya members," The Hokage-aid explained to me.

"Sir," I nod and we flicker away to the nearby forest, running in quietly as we scout for the kids.

"The son of Lord Seventh is Genin, isn't he? What's he doing running into combat?" I ask, jumping over bushes and around trees.

"When we find him, you can ask him~ ah, there," I narrowed my eyes at a ring of fire illuminating a figure.

"I know exactly who that guy is... leave him to me," I tell the older ninja beside me before beginning to weave hand signs.

"Wind Style: Great Explosive Flame," I call out, blowing a series of wind blasts at all the fire around the Byakuya member, causing the fireballs to explode on impact.

"AAHH~!" He fell to the floor face first.

I then jumped overhead and in front of the two Genin children who were originally fighting him.

"Well well, we meet again Oko..." I sneer as he gets to his knees.

"D-damn it~"

"You wanna die!?" I growl, pulling kunai from my weapons pouch and throwing it to scratch his cheek.

"Grrrr ah~" He then froze as Shikamaru used his paralysis jutsu on him.

"Night night," I smiled sweetly before kicking him in the head, knocking I'm out.

"Finally... I'm sick and tired of seeing your face," I grumble at the unconscious man before turning to the kids.

"Are you two ok?"

"Ah, yes, thank you," The blonde-haired boy nodded.

"Good," I smiled at them.

They smiled back and I chuckled softly before hardening my gaze and placing my hands on my hips.

"Now what in the world were you thinking going after these gang members all on your own huh!? You could have been killed!" I lecture.

"It's ok Kazane, I think they get it," Shikamaru placed a hand on my shoulder and nodded, walking forward more to speak with the kids.

"Kid's these days are so reckless... I swear," I sigh, turning my head to the sky.

'At least tonight we can end the Byakuya Gang... and we won't have to deal with them anymore either...'
