Chapter 17

Ruby POV

After the announcement and the prince's speech the king called the princesses to talk with the prince "ruby stay here don't move ok?" Said sapphire looking at the floor i was rather confused but i didn't want to question so i nodded "promise?" She added looking up i am definitely confused what's she talking about? "Uh sure not like i have anything to do anyway I'll wait out here and won't move i promise" i said smiling she nodded and left "now what? I'm bored" yellow pearl said leaning in the wall "beats me i don't know what we are supposed to do here but luckily i can check on my visors they have been receiving low connection since we arrived so i got myself homework to do" Peridot said taking her visors off i sighed and leaned on the wall "sapphire told me to stay still as if i was going to leave or something" i said "knowing you i say that she's right you'll end up in some sort of trouble as usual" Peridot said "i won't" i said sighing as time passed i couldn't but help getting bored seconds turned into minutes and minutes turned into hours "how long has it been? They are there for like forever I'm getting tired" i said "it's 20 minutes not that long ruby be patient jeez it's not like you have anything to do..do you?" Peridot said "no but it's getting boring here" i complained "don't start a shenanigan like princess lazuli it's rather annoying" she said i nodded and sat down looking around trying to keep myself busy until i saw princess Padparascha walking with two men they were dressed weirdly for a meeting with the king and Padparascha seemed to be getting dragged so i got up and started following "where are you going?" Yellow p asked "uh restroom" i said he nodded and went back to minding his business Peridot instead looked at me serious "you aren't going to fool me" she said "look i don't have time put your visors on I'll take your drone and I'll even record this is something i can't explain now i don't have the time" i said grabbing her drone and turning it on "be careful with it" she said "I'll try" with that i followed in the direction they went and heard some voices so i hid behind a wall and looked at what was happening "look princess where is the money?" A man with a black suit said playing with a gun "i don't know i already told you now let me go it's an order" Padparascha said trying to pull away form them i left the drone and it was flying at a reasonable high so they couldn't see "well the boss wants money and you seem the first person to mind you you're rich and you must give him because he's the one that gave us a life" the girl holding Padparascha said "i don't even know what you're talking about you people are crazy" Padparascha said trying to get lose from the grip "oh no your highness if you keep moving you'll end up getting hurt by my pocket knife" said the lady in black i need to do something but as soon as i was about to jump out the man started talking "do you know why we're here after all these years? Well you see it's because we were scared you made us lose our house respect and the only place we could feel at home" the guy said having a serious face on "what do you mean?" Padparascha said the guy shot the floor "DON'T PLAY DUMB PRINCESS YOU TOOK AWAY THE ORPHANAGES THAT KEPT THE CHILDREN ALIVE TOOK EVERYTHING AWAY FROM THEM AND US...we are here to get revenge give us the money or give us your head" the guy said with a sick smile she took away orphanages?..i shook it off and kept listening "look i won't give you either of those i did it cause those women you called mother didn't pay for the orphanage i can't let them have free territory can i?" Padparascha said not flinching at all "...they didn't cause the children were sick you ended up doing an indirect genocide with that choice and as the wise man says eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth" the guy was smirking at the princess as he pointed the gun at her shoot i gotta intervene now! I bolted myself over there with all the speed i had and the techniques yellow p taught me i jumped on the guy and snatched the gun from him and welted it then got up and pulled the princess away from the girl "you ok princess?" I said keeping my guard high "y-yea I'm fine thank you" she said i nodded and looked at them "what is a cute girl like you doing here?" The lady said "thanks for the compliment and I'm here cause I'm her guard i wont let such a stunning lady like you hurt her" i said lying "oh my thank you we should really get to know each other" she said the guy got up rubbing his head "you brat hand over the princess" he said getting up pulling out a pocket knife "I'm sorry to disappoint but she's staying here with me" as i finished the sentence they both charged with their pocket knife i blacked them both with my sword "Padparascha run!" I said she looked at me nodded and left "now that it's just us I'll have to-" the girl ran after Padparascha i pushed the guy down and followed the girl crap! "Hey! Girl! I got something to ask you!" I said hoping this would work she stopped and turned around "yes gorgeous?" She said smiling she's making me uncomfortable "your friend is badly injured i suggest you help him out cause the guards are coming" i said she looked around and sighed and ran toward the guy "but before i leave here's my gift ~" she said i wasn't fast enough to notice she threw her pocket knife and cut my left cheek i ignored it and ran toward the direction the princess ran to and saw her with the others i walked there relieved that she was fine i looked at peridot that gave me a worried look i smiled and turned to the princess "are you ok? Sorry i had to make you run but i couldn't think of anything better" i said "it's fine i owe you my life is there anything you want?" She asked "no nothing I'm good" i said then Sapphire came closer to me and i could feel her glare behind her bangs and i could feel my cheek freezing up "we need to talk..now" i looked at peridot and yellow p and they both shrugged and i followed sapphire to an empty room "are you ok?" Sapphire asked not turning around "yes sapphy" i said smiling "you made me a promise and you broke it...how am i supposed to trust you?" She said i felt my heart drop "Padparascha was in danger i couldn't just stand there and do nothing" i said looking the floor "i know and i thank you for saving my cousin" she turned around and her bangs moved just enough to let me see her eyes beautiful.. She looked at my cheek and rubbed it "I'm sorry but i had to freeze it...you really are a rascal sometimes just like Peridot says" she said holding her hand on my cheek my face started heating up melting the ice it wasn't bleeding anymore but i started feeling weak for some reason i felt dizzy i placed my hands on her face smiling "has anyone told you how beautiful your eyes are princess?" I said struggling with my words but she smiled so i smiled too "you should really show them more oft-" and with that everything went black

Sapphire POV

Ruby placed her hands on my cheek smiling and my heart started beating faster "has anyone told you how beautiful your eyes are princess?" She said i smiled and she smiled too she rubbed my cheeks i don't think i can keep up with this my heart can take only so much"you should really show them more oft-" ruby wasn't able to finish her phrase as she collapsed on the floor sweating and breathing heavily my heart stopped as i dropped on the floor next to her "GUARDS!!!" i screamed Peridot bolted in with her drone and looked at ruby "as i suspected she got poisoned by that pocket knife we need to take her to the royal doctor as fast as possible" next to her there were Yellow Pearl,my sisters and Padparascha i got up while the guards where taking ruby away i walked towards her and glared at her "it's your fault...Firt your kingdom then you hurt the people of my kingdom abusing your power now my guard? What's next? You'll murder someone?...i warn you Padparascha stay away from my guard.." I said i turned around and followed the guards i won't let her hurt anyone anymore...Not again
