Chapter 21

Alic's POV:

I put my phone in my pocket. I'm shocked. I can't think. Zoey can't leave. I'm her mom, I have full rights. Aunt brook can't do that. Then again, maybe Zoey should go. The attention is ruining her chance at a normal life.

Then all the sudden. The emotions hit full force. I feel tears build up in my eyes, threatening to come out if I blink. I need to let this out. I sob out. I drop down on a near by bench. I feel helpless without her though. Zoey is my sun, my moon, and everything in between them. I put my hands through my hair tugging at it. I hate having to let her go home without me.

After spending another 10 minutes outside, I got up and took my phone out. I unlocked it, clicking the app for my camera. I wiped off all the running makeup and tears that slipped out. Once I was done I went back inside.

"Hey Alic! What took so long?" Taylor asked, as I walked in. I sat down in my seat. Trying to figure out an excuse for now. "My aunt called...to um...check in." I half lied. They seem hesitant but took it.

I went back to eating my salad. Should I tell Matt? Would he be mad that I think she should go? I don't know what to do? I've been questioning things a lot lately. I wish I was 14 again. I wish I was at school. Believe it or not, I want to go back to school. I want to have an education and support my daughter. Everything just happened so fast.

"Are you okay mommy?" I heard Zoey's little voice say. I come back to my senses and realized that everyone is looking at me and I'm crying. I wipe my face quickly. "Yeah princess. Everything is fine. I promise." I look her in the eye.

She's amazingly beautiful to be 4. Her little blue eyes and golden brown hair. OH! HOLD UP! Zoey's birthday! We never had her party. "Okay." Zoey said and started eating again. "Alic? What's really wrong?" Matt asked. The whole squad was still looking at me. I sigh. "I will tell you guys later."

Soon dinner was over and we were already in our hotel rooms. "Mommy?" Zoey asked, when I came out the bathroom clothed from my shower. "Yes Princess?" I answer. "Can you sing me that song?" She asked.

"What song?"I asked trying to get a specific answer. "Remember long ago, when I asked about my dad. You said you made a song about him. It was my favorite song." She explained. Realization came and I remembered the song perfectly. "That's your favorite song?" I looked in her beautiful big blue eyes. "Yes." She smiled.

I smiled back and grabbed my guitar. "If you say that you love it...I guess I gotta sing it. Right Princess?" I smirked. She giggled. It's like music to my ears. Her laugh, just like Matt's. I smiled at her and looked down at my guitar. The guitar, such a beautiful instrument. I remember when I got my first guitar. My dad was in the army and I haven't seen him for 2 years straight. When he came home I was so happy! The thing is he also came home with a guitar. That's when my love for music started.

I smiled larger at the memory and started to strum.

I kept singing, keeping my eyes on Zoey. In the middle of the song, I heard knocks on the door, but I ignored it and let it go. I started to see Zoey getting tired and falling asleep. I started to play slower and quieter. Until she fell asleep. I put my guitar down and looked down at her. I smiled and moved hair from her face.

I do that a lot now. Smile. Ever since she was born. I just couldn't stop...smiling. I'm going to miss her so much. I have to make sure to skype her every night.

I heard a cough and I quickly looked behind me. I seen mahogany looking at me amused and the group of boys, with another group of boys. "Oh...uh. Hi?" I awkwardly said. "That's Matt's boo." Taylor pointed at me. Matt punched him in the arm as I laughed. Realizing Zoey is right behind me, I closed my mouth. "Listen, I just got her asleep." I said.

"Yeah, I seen. What's with the whole 'I'm going to miss her' thing?" Matt questioned. I looked at him shocked. Did I really say that out loud? "Um, yeah. I will tell you later." I told him. I'm not ready to tell any body. Right now I'm wishing it was a prank and not real. "Mahogany, can you watch Zoey so I can introduce Alic to the boys?" Nash asked. Mahogany nodded and got up.

She came and hugged me. "Good luck." she whispered in my ear. "Wait, What?" I asked out loud. Confusion clear on my face. She let go from the hug and said "Good bye have a good night!" While pushing us out the door.

"I'm kinda scared......Im kinda thinking I should just go back inside and be with Zoey." I said slowly. The guys smirked. Oh no. I turned and tried to opened the door but it was locked. Taylor grabbed my arm and started to pull me to their room.

"No! What ever your going to do, you're not going to get away with it!" I yelled at them. All the did we chuckle. Matt opened the door and we all walked in...except for me. I was practically dragged in.

Once the door was closed they let me go. I stood to my feet and looked around the room. Every guy was still dressed. I looked down at myself and cringed. I'm wearing Scooby-Doo pyjama pants and a Justin Bieber shirt from 2 years ago. I blushed lightly.

"Ok Alic let me introduce you to Brent, Jacob, Connor, Trevor, Ricky, and Chis. The rest of O2L couldn't be here." Matt shrugged. He kept going on about something but I couldn't really focus since I'm fangirling. IM IN THE SAME ROOM AS JACOB WHITESIDES AND CHRIS! OH MY THEY ARE JUST SO...UGH!

"Alic?" I heard someone say. I snapped out of my day dream and looked at Matt. I smiled really big. I can't hold my excitement in for much longer, and from past experiences Matt knew what was next. "Oh no, everyone stand back and brace yourselves." He warned. The boys were confused at first but took 3 steps back. That's when I let it all go.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I squealed. I started to hop in a circle. I can't believe I didn't notice them when they first walked in. The boys covered their ears and watched me, amused. I stopped jumping and tried to hold back my giant smile. "Sorry about that." I smiled.

Chris smiled and took the risk to step near me. "I'm Chris and you're beautiful." He winked. "Awe R-Really? U-um...uh. S-stuttering is really embarrassing." I tried whispering the last part to myself. "Why did you fangirl?" Brent came up suddenly with a taco in his hand. "How did you? Never mind. Anyways, I'm huge fans of Jacob and Chris. You guys are amazing!" I looked toward them. "Thanks." Jacob smiled. OH I LITERALLY JUST MELTED!

"Listen I need to go, but this weekend I'm throwing Zoey a birthday party. You guys are invited." I explained, while walking out the door. Once the door was closed fully, I started dancing. I wouldn't even call it dancing. I call it jumping and kicking my legs out.

What I didn't know was something horribly new is starting to happen.
