Chapter thirty six

Yes, I know I normally put the author's note at the end of a chapter, but today it's at the start.
Why?
Because this chapter is a little different. It's going to be mainly a flashback chapter.

It's been a few months since you last saw me. It's now the fourth of March, the day before the tour, and a lot's happened. First, it was Rye's birthday.

Me: "Guys, shut up. He'll be here any minute!"

I said, trying to silence the people surrounding me. We were gathered in a pub restaurant that we had rented out so we had the place to ourselves. Everyone was smooshed together under tables, behind the bar, in little

Four cups are shoved at me and I head into the kitchen. I open a new bottle of vodka as the other one seems to have disappeared. I pour some into each cup not caring how much sloshes in. I mix in a bit of coke and ask a nearby dude if he can help me carry them through with me. He accepts and picks up three of the cups whilst I grab the other two.

Dude: "Where's my drink then, gorgeous?"
Me: "Get your own."
Dude: "You sure you don't wanna pour me one? I'm Harry."
Me: "And I don't care. Thanks for helping me, if you could just pass them to those three people over there then go and find your own friends, byeeeee!"
Harry: "You sure you don't wanna go somewhere and... I don't know... make out?"

To answer him, I go over to Brook and start kissing him. He's a little surprised at first but gathers himself and kisses me back. I look back over my shoulder to see Harry strut away. Good, serves him right. The second to last chorus of the song comes on and I drag Brook back into the crowd where everyone is huddled together and join them, pumping our fists and clapping every two beats.

The rest of the party went exceptionally well, so well that I can't even remember a thing that happened after that moment. Who knows how much vodka I put in that drink. I woke up in a bush somewhere, without a top. Don't ask me where it went or how it came off, I don't remember a thing. That was the first time I'd ever been blackout drunk, and I still didn't have a hangover.

The next two and a half weeks were really productive. They were spent writing and recording songs, though Kathryn and I still weren't allowed to hear 'Hero'. Covers were recorded and filmed. Videos were put out on the vlog channel. And the most exciting part, tour rehearsals started. Me and Kathryn helped out a lot behind the scenes, with production and suggestions. This pleased Blair as he was glad he didn't have to help out as much and he could focus more on Harvey. That's right, we met Blair. He's actually really nice, there's a softie hidden inside his tough outer shell. He made a joke about how we were temporary managers, keeping the boys in line and helping out. He left after saying, 'if you keep it up I might have to start paying you.' He's a very funny man and makes jokes about everything, so it didn't surprise me when he said that.

The productiveness was put on hold for a few days surrounding Andy's birthday. We had a day off, watching a few movies and just chilling around on the fifteenth of February. On his birthday, we did everything he wanted to do, which wasn't much, to be honest. He claimed just being with us was the best birthday gift. We went for a walk through Sundancer Forest, the very same one that we saw the fox a while back. We bumped into a few roadies, most of them having carried around presents for Andy all day, hoping they'd see him. They were sweet. We'd planned to go out for a meal to end the day with, but after the walk, we still had a few hours so we ended up bowling.
