Chapter 16

Axel & Gray

     After Axel told me his story and what he's been through ever since he's been kidnapped I felt for him. He's been a mindless weapon used by vampires but he still kept fighting to be free. After my mom, Axel, and I finished talking we all headed back upstairs and locked down the bunker. Making our way through the library and up the stairs my mom said that she was going to head to her room. I felt bad for my mom and all that's she's been through and all that she's had to sacrifice for me. I kissed her cheek and she went to her room.

     I looked behind me to see Axel staring at me. I smiled and walked towards and gave him a hug. Are you hungry 'wolf' I whispered in his ear. He looked at me taken back and my bold question and eagerly nodded his head. Good so am I. I grabbed his hand and  led him to the kitchen and sat him down so that I could fix us something to eat. (Come in guys not that kind of hungry ya nasty😉)

     After I was finished I made juicy steaks for me my mom and Axel with asparagus and potatoes. My mom came out of her room once she smelled the delicious aroma and took her plate upstairs with her after thanking us and claiming she wants to get to know each other. But I knew that mom was still upset and sad having to bring back all those memories. After about three steaks for Axel he was finally full! "Wow, that was so good. I haven't eaten like that in so long." Thinking of what he just said I asked Axel what did he normally eat. He looked me and told me that he mostly eat bread and soup but most days they would starve them so that their wolves would go more crazy and blood hungry.

      I looked at him and sighed at his answer. I felt so bad for him and what he's been through. I was fighting to hold back the unshed tears as he continued telling me what it like being there. I felt a gentle and warm embrace and noticed that Axel put his hand over mine. I gave a smile and got up and took our dishes to the sink. I couldn't cry, I'm not going to , I can't afford to. Axel gently put his hands on my shoulders slowly turning me to face his towering figure. "Gray, you saved me and that all that matters. Without you I would have been forever stuck in that nightmare!" He held me close to his said saying thank you over and over again.

When we finished hugging and Axel helped me clean the kitchen i took his hand and led him towards my room. I have extra clothes for you Axel and umm you can sleep in here with me if you'd like. All of the other rooms are being used as storage or something else. I mean if you don't mind. I- he stopped my endless and mindless rambling by connecting his soft lips to mine instantly shutting me up. "I'd love to sleep next you little mate. If you'll have me." Lost for words I slowly nodded me head yes. I grabbed clothes for him that were a pair of sweat pants and a plain white t-shirt. You'll find extra towels in the bathroom and an extra body scrubber and tooth brush. He smiled at me while taking his things and made his way to the bathroom connected to my room.

When he turned around and I watched his figure retreat to the bathroom I released a slow breath not knowing I wasn't even breathing. I backed up towards my bed and flipped face first muffling my giddy screams. After I calmed down a bit I went the shelf in the corner of my room and grabbed a book to read while I waited for Axel to finish up so that I could shower next. After a good 20 more minutes I heard the door open and my eyes took a peek over the the edge of my book trying not to look obvious while my eyes wandered down his body. Drips of water fell from his hair and slowly and painfully slid down his collar bone and made its way down to his muscles chest passing his erect pink nipples and down sliding in between the maze of his and disappearing into the seats where it hung low around his waist showing off his V line.

I swallowed a gulp of spit down my parched throat. His eyes snapped to mine as I quickly tried to make my eyes go back to the damn book. While I was staring at the pages of words I inwardly cursed myself for doing what I just did. I heard his low giggle and his footsteps make his way towards me. 'Ugh curse his stupid giggle for making my melt.' His fingers gripped the book slowly pulling it away from as he looked at me with a dangerously sexy smirk. "The showers all yours little mate." I jumped out of the bed and ran straight towards the bathroom like flash. Once inside I slammed the door shut quickly stripping out my clothes and jump into the hot shower. I had to catch my breath. This wolf and his stupid cute face and his Adonis body, ugh. After spending a long time in the shower I got out and grabbed the towel from the cabinet. After drying myself off I looked around searching for my clothes when it dawned on me that I forgot to grab some. That damn wolf I mumbled lowly to myself. I wrapped the towel slightly around my body opening the door to my room. I slowly peeled through the crack to see that Axel was reading the book from earlier. Umm, h-hey Axel, I forgot to grab me some clothes do you mind if I step out and go get it. He sat up from the bed and placed the book down on the side table and taking his hand placing it behind his head and locking his fingers together. "Not at all little mate."

'Shit!' I mumbled and slowly crept out of the bathroom avoiding eye contact with Axel while making my way towards the closet. When I opened my closet doors my damn towel slipped from my grasp. While I desperately tried to yank it back up my towel was gone and his heavy breath was breathing down my neck.
