~~A week later~~

"Ash! It's time for school!" I hear mom yelling from downstairs.

"Alright, I'm getting up!" I call to her. I get out of bed and try to walk without crutches. I walk with a slight limp and go to the bathroom and wash up as best I can being cautious of my leg. I put the clothes I slept in back on deciding to change after breakfast. I go downstairs and find dad at the table and mom cooking.

"Hey." I say as I set the crutches by the stairs and sit across from my father.

"Good morning." Mom says and sets plates at the table. We all eat and mom decides to do dishes again. I hate that she won't let me do it once in a while. A knock comes from the door as mom's setting dishes on the rack.

"It's open!" Mom calls to whoever's at the door. The door opens to reveal Lilly.

"Hey, Lilly." I smile from the counter I'm standing by. She comes in and chuckles as she looks at me. "What?" I ask and look down to see I'm still wearing my Spider-Man pajama shorts and t-shirt. "Shit. I'll change then we can go." I quickly limp to the stairs and go to my room to change into a black tank top and jean shorts. The shorts show the bandage on my leg but I don't care. I'm about to go downstairs when I hear my mom say.

"You make Ash smile the way she did before everything that happened. That's all I want for her."

"I promise. I don't plan on leaving anytime soon." I hear Lilly's sweet voice say.

"Thank you." Mom says before I decide to walk down the stairs.

"Alright, let's go." I smile.

"Where's your jacket? It's cold outside." Mom says going to the coats.

"Mom, it's not that cold." I protest.

"At least put this on." She says grabbing my grey sweatshirt.

"Fine." I take it and put it on. "Here, I don't need these anymore." I give Lilly the crutches from by the stairs.

"Alright, let's go." Lilly says and we go to her car. She sets the crutches in the back and starts driving. "Mom said those stitches can come out after school."

"Finally." I say.

"You will have a scar from the cut though."

"Sweet. Scars are cool. It shows I've been through some shit." I smile.

"Yeah, that's true." She smiles. "So. Spiderman?"

"Okay, yes. I have Spiderman PJs. I love superheroes." I admit. "I also have Cars PJs. I even have Mulan PJs." Lilly laughs and the rest of the ride we talk about anything we could think of until we park at school. The others pull in as we're getting out of the car.

"Hey." Alex says jumping from the car.

"Hey." Lilly and I say in unison.

"So, me and Alex have a debate. Who's better, Superman or Supergirl?" Chase asks.

"Supergirl." Ace, Alex, Lilly and I all say together.

"You guys only say that cause you are girls." Chase says.

"No, we say that because Kara beat the shit out of Clark before. And she's so much cooler." I argue.

"Exactly." Alex agrees.

"Fine." Chase gives up. That was easy. "Let's get to class." We all laugh at his childishness and go to class. When it starts I notice Markas eyeing me throughout the hour. Everytime I notice I shift uncomfortably and when the bell rings I couldn't be happier. We all leave the class. The next few hours go by quickly and I can't wait for lunch.
