Chapter 7

I wake up on the cement. I rub my eyes as I sit up slowly and everything that happened comes back to me. I look around to see Lilly sitting on the stairs we came down. She notices me and stands up.

"How are you feeling?" She asks.

"The pain is gone." I state.

"Good." Lilly states. I go to walk to her but crash into the wall next to her.

"Shit." I say. It doesn't hurt very much but it's a cement wall. 

"You need to keep trying until you can control your speed." I nod and I practice walking. How weird is that? I have to learn how to walk again.

After a while I manage to control my speed.

"You're a fast learner." Lilly smiles.

"Always have been." I smile back and reach for my phone but accidently crush it in my hands. I look at Lilly.

"That needs work." She says. I nod and we get to work on my strength. After a while I manage to control it and then it hits me.

The hunger. I'm so hungry.

"I'm starving." I say. I can feel fangs come out in my mouth. 

"Thought you'd be getting hungry soon. Over there." She points to a mini fridge in the corner of the room. I go to it faster than necessary and open it. It's full of blood bags and meat. Steak. Chicken. Stuff like that. I immediately grab the blood and start drinking it before I can stop myself. When the fridge is empty I'm no longer as hungry as I was but I'm still hungry.

"Let's go. You can hunt." Lilly says. We leave the basement and as we go through the doors of the building itself I see David and Angel with Lilly's parents waiting.

"Hungry?" David asks. I nod. "Lets hunt." With that he takes off. I follow him and we run for a while before stopping. I notice that Lilly and her dad are with us as we stop by a lake. I see a deer drinking at the edge across the lake. How can I see it from this far?

"There's a couple deer there." David points to our right and I see them too. "You can have them." With that I sprint to the deer and sink my fangs into them. We all hunt for a while and then go back to the house laughing. 

"How'd it go?" Angel asks as we get to the porch.

"Pretty good. We do need to go into town later, though." Mr. Marksen says.

"Okay." Angel nods. 

"Come on. We can get dressed and head out." Lilly grabs my hand and pulls me inside. We get to her room and I see my duffel bag sitting on her bed. "I grabbed random clothes the other night. I didn't want to take too long."

"Thanks." I smile. She nods and goes out of the room. I look through the bag and find all my Life Is Strange shirts and some of my ripped jeans. I take my tank top that looks like Chloe's and a pair of ripped jeans to change into. 

I leave the room and find Lilly in the living room in different clothes. She's wearing a white tank top and jeans with a yellow flannel around her waist. 

"I got you new shoes." She points to the black, military issue combat boots next to her.

"You shouldn't have. I don't need this much stuff." I tell her.

"I know. I just think you need new shoes because those converse have holes and are very dirty." She says. "And I think you'd look good in these." I smile and look down feeling my cheeks heat up. 

"Thanks." I take the boots and put them on. 

"We're going to be heading into town in the next 30 minutes." David says as he walks into the living room.
