Night.

Our ship is due to arrive in Moldor by morning.

They were all singing the Sirius anthem like they were happy-go-lucky pirates.

"Eduardo, yo! Sing will ya!" Russell laughed, slapping his shoulder.

"Gimme a break with that stupid song." He rolled his eyes.

"You've always got some excuse!" He teased. "Yer horribly tone deaf, aren't ya?"

"I want to hear ya sing, Eduardo." I bumped his shoulder a little.

"I think ya need t' be punished more strictly," he threatened. "...The wind direction has changed."

"Shit..Its the Moldor Navy." Nathan groaned.

Eduardo looked out at the sea.

"No, they've changed course." He shrugged.

"They didn't even see us." Thomas laughed, shaking his head.

"Didn't that look t' ya that they changed direction on purpose?" Nate worried.

On purpose..?

Eduardo's been staring at the sea for a long time...

Later

"Hey, why are ya stalkin' me like that?!" Eduardo turned and glared at me as I trailed behind him up to the quarter deck.

Oops, he's sharp as hell...

"You're the one who told me never to be alone." I snuggled up right next to him.

He was looking in the direction of Moldor...

"Don't you wanna ask?" His words hung deep with sadness and I felt my heart sink at the look of despair on his face.

I can't ask anything when he looks so sad...

I just stared at his profile quietly.

"...When I was a kid, I was always lookin' at the sea from a hill. I always wanted t' go somewhere, wanted t' see the world." He took a long breath. "I couldn't because my mother was sick."

"Your mother, she was ill?"

"Yeah.. She died when I was seventeen," he spoke heavily. "My father left my weak mother."

Eduardo.. opened up to me about his family for the first time.

"He was only interested in his own life path. He didn't even come back when she died..." His voice shook slightly. "I'm not like you. I can never forgive him. I'll get vengence on him someday.. And my hatred drew me all the way here."

Is that the reason he became a pirate..? To get revenge on his father...?

I squeezed his hand.

"..You..always make a lot of noise, but you're quiet now." He looked down at me as I rested my head against his shoulder. "Women usually want t' know more about me once they get t' know a little. About my family, my past...and the scar under this eyepatch."

I didn't dare say a word.

"But you, you're a strange woman." He gazed down at me, but it was my turn to look at the ocean.

"I know the important things." I shrugged a little.

"Important things?" He asked, urging me to continue.

"I know you're a sweet person," I said softly. "And that you've been hurt deeply."

"..Delilah." He breathed out as he hugged me tightly. "Your body's warm."
