Chapter 14

I was being chased by the two men who captured me and Fuzzy and I'd escaled from.

Oh no, they're gonna catch me..!

A loud gunshot ricocheted across the square and I looked to see Eduardo climbing off a horse in front of me.

"Delilah, come here." He wrapped an arm around me and pointed his gun.

More gunshots and the two guys collapsed.

"Don't worry," he said before I could comment. "It only grazed their heads."

"Ya meet yer target every time!" Russell laughed as he tied them up

Eduardo looked down at me and took off his jacket.

"Put this on." He handed it to me.

"Thank you so m-"

"Just put it on! And thank me later," he snapped as I slipped into it, drooping from its weight.

It was twice my size and dragged on the floor, but it easily wrapped around me and smelt of him.

"Did ya sell this one t' the slave business?" He approached the men.

"I-I'm sorry! Please don't shoot me!"

"Maybe ya want me t' kill ya," he snarled and pointed his gun directly to his face.

"Its enough to terrify them." Doc scolded.

Captain squatted down and glared at them.

"Ya never, ever touch my precious crew members!" He shouted angrily, causing me to flinch.

I was used to Cap talking loudly but this was different...

"We-we won't! We'll never do it again!"

"Where's the other one?" They looked at Russell in confusion. "The fat one!"

Just then, a horse came galloping into the plaza with Fuzzy riding on its back.

"I'm not fat! I'm glamorous!" She roared.

Fuzzy!

"Where did ya get that horse?!" He was clearly surprised.

"I earned it with my body!" She jumped down from it.

"You're safe." I clung to her.

"Yeah. I kicked the guy's crotch as soon as we got t' his room." She giggled.

"I'm sorry.. You've been through so much just to let me escape." I frowned, feeling guilty.

"Oh, hell." She blushed. "They couldn't take their eyes off my dancin' anyway."

Fuzzy, how strong she is...

"Delilah," Eduardo said softly and I turned to him.

"Yeah, what-Oh!" He picked me up and put me on his shoulder.

"How many kidnappin's satisfy you!" He carried me toward the horse.

"I'm so sorry," I mumbled.

"I'll punish ya when we go back." He growled.

"Punish?" I asked, fear in my voice.

"I'll make sure.." He smirked. "No mercy tonight."

No mercy tonight.

Eduardo set me down onto the bed casually.

"Aren't you kinda quiet?" He raised his eyebrows at me.

"Well, cause... I don't know what to do." I rambled on. "It's better to be quiet in this circumstance and-"

"Shut up!" He snapped. "Just shut up."
