We decided to have a party after we left Moldor.
"The party'll start at nine. We gotta get ready by then." Nathan told me.
"All right!"
I prepared the food along side him.
"You're really good at this!" I watched as he diced the onion quickly and neatly.
"Well, yer really good with yer mouth." He rolled his eyes.
"I'm not just flattering you!" I laughed. "You're food is really, really excellent!"
"Ah, sorry." He grinned at me. "I guess yer just empathetic."
Nathan always seems unfriendly, but he's cute when he smiles.
"I think yer gettin' better at cookin'." He nodded as he watched me cut up a carrot.
"Thanks to you!" I bumped his shoulder lightly. "Lucky for me, it was this ship I was put on when I was in a barrel."
"Aren't ya lucky fer somethin' else?"
"What?" I raised my eyebrow at him as I set the knife down.
"Ya've gotta boyfriend, too." He teased.
Is he talking about Eduardo..?
"He's..not my boyfriend, is he?" I shook my head. "He thinks of me as his sister."
"I'll tell ya on his behalf." Nate leaned against the counter. "Yer real dumb, aren't ya?"
"Dumb..?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Yer such a dork that ya won't know if other guys'll try t' steal ya." He clicked his tongue.
"Steal me?" I wasn't getting at what he was saying.
"Like this." He grabbed my chin. "Why are ya blank?"
"Er, cause I don't know what you're doin'?" He sighed.
"That's what yer charmin' point is, I guess." He chuckled.
"Yo." Eduardo walked in as the door slammed open and he let go of my chin. "Nathan, since when did ya change yer taste in women? I thought ya weren't interested in kids?"
"I was just makin' fun of her." He shrugged.
Eduardo's staring at Nathan...
"You. I need a hand on deck. Come," he instructed before leaving the room.
Once I was through the doors, he grabbed my wrist and tugged me away from the kitchen.
"Didn't ya say ya needed a hand on deck? Deck is the other way.." I trailed off.
"Shut up!" He snapped.
Shut up??
"Are you..jealous?" I stared at his back as he pulled me down the hallway.
"I said shut up! I'll throw ya int' the sea!" He threatened.
"But ya took me this way.." I kept prying. "Was I right that you're jealous?"
He abruptly pushed me up against the wall.
"Wh-what?!" I looked at him in surprise.
"Yer afraid of me, aren't ya?" He leaned closer toward me before chuckling a little. "I was just makin' fun of ya."
That's what Nathan said before...
He stared at me and twisted my hand, causing me to yelp in pain.
"Don't let other men make fun of ya, got that?!" He glared at me.
"O-ok!" I screeched out and he let go of my hand.
