Thomas and the map were stolen by the Rika...
"You're great." Eduardo grinned at me as we stood in the cargo hold.
"Heh. This is the first time I've done somethin' useful for you!" I smiled.
"You're bein' useful more than ya think." He eyed me.
"Am I useful for you, Eduardo?" I looked up to him.
"...Close your eyes. Here's yer reward."
I leaned my back against the wall and waited.
Reward..?
What's that...candy again?
When I closed my eyes, he touched my neck gently.
"This is..." I opened them.
"My mother's necklace." He watched my reaction.
"But, this is extremely precious to you, isn't it?" I pushed his hands away slightly.
"Just lemme put it on you." I stared at the necklace as he clasped it around my neck.
"There's a crest engraved into the stone," I pointed out.
"I heard that this was passed on from one generation t' the next in my mother's family," he explained.
Clear lights glow in the stones..it changes color based on the angle.
"Its beautiful, its like your eye color." I looked up to see him staring directly at me. "That means its like your mother's eye color, too."
He was silent as he listened carefully to my words.
"Your father thought about giving it to you all this time, right?"
"...Maybe," he muttered.
"Then you should keep it all the more!" I exclaimed "This necklace holds so much of your father's love toward you and your mother."
Eduardo's hands pulled my face closer to his slowly.
"Delilah..." He whispered.
The door slammed open.
"Hey, sorry to interrupt." Nathan came walking down the steps.
"Nathan..." I mumbled.
"I just wanted t' get tomato cans, but I'll go," he said, looking uncomfortable.
"Er..I'll help you!" I pulled from his grasp and picked up a few cans from the cabinet.
My cheeks are hot from Eduardo's touch...
I wanna get closer to him, even more than before...
"Do ya think I got a mean streak?" Nate asked as I set down some of the cans on the counter.
"Mean streak?" I asked.
"I called Fuzzy a spy." He seemed kind of ashamed by that, and didn't look me in the face.
"I don't think ya have a mean streak, its just not like ya." I shrugged.
"Whaddya mean?"
"You don't talk a lot, but when you're always right when ya do." I explained.
"I've been feeling kinda blue actually." He looked down at his hands.
"Are you?" I tilted my head.
"Ya, I practiced apologizin' in the bathroom." I giggled a little and he pinched my cheek. "Don't laugh! It doesn't matter how hard it is t' say it, ya just say it."
