I was arrested, but was saved by Eduardo at my execution.

"I can see very well with my one eye," he said, taking off his eyepatch.

Is he able to see out of both eyes?

"Lets get outta here while the flashbangs workin'." He said and the horse ran from the plaza.

"I remember I used t' look at the sea from this hill."

He had taken me to a large hill with a magnificent view.

"I'm half Moldor and half Ullr." He took a deep breath.

That's why he has two different colored eyes...

"My father was a public officer of Moldor and married my mother, who was Ullr." He stared out at the sea longingly. "I'm ashamed of my father's blood."

I just quietly watched his profile.

"Before I was born, when Moldor invaded Ullr, not only was their land stolen." He clenched his fists so tight that his knuckles turned white. "...Half of the Ullr was massacred."

Half of the Ullr?!

"Men were used for forced labor and women and children were slaves." I could hear the anger built up behind his words. "The bastard Moldor took everything they had."

He's torn apart between the Moldor and the Ullr...

"Is that why you hide the eye that's the same color as your father's?" I asked.

"Right." He nodded once.

"Its your heart.." I squeezed his hand a little. "...that has a scar."

"All my father could think about was his promotion, not us. He was always on the ship and he never came back." His voice trembled. "My mother was always discriminated against, she must've had a really rough time."

"You must've had a rough time too." I leaned against him slightly.

"Yeah, I was always talked about behind my back about my mixed blood. I wasn't accepted by either Moldor or Ullr..." He looked down. "My father ignored us when we needed him."

Eduardo's been waiting for his father all this time...

"You wanted your father by your side, to protect you," I said lightly.

"You may be right." He squeezed my hand back. "You seem t' understand how I feel. You had the same experience I had."

He looked at me and then the other way.

"But I'm not like you, I can never forgive my father." He growled. "I swore on my mother's death I'd become a pirate and ruin his career."

"Ruin his career..?" I waited for an explanation.

"His job is t' capture pirates." He nodded. "He'd get laughed at if his son was a pirate. If he ever came t' arrest me, I'd kill him."

"..Eduardo."

"Don't worry about it." He patted my head and stared down at me warmly. "We're not gonna stay in Moldor any longer."

I squeezed his hand once more.

"Delilah...Your hand is warm.." He turned his lonely gaze out to the sea. "I don't wanna talk about it anymore. Ok?"

"Yeah." I nodded a little.

"Good girl." He touched my cheek gently. "Lets go back t' the ship."

Yeah, we should get back. They're probably waiting for us...
