They'd carried Emori to the building Murphy had let himself into after sedating her, using the hand cuffs they'd found to restrain her for when she did wake up. Byrd remained by Murphy's side, letting Jackson patch him up as the rest of the small group stood around the room.

'I am getting used to patching you up, Murphy,' Jackson broke the silence.

'I guess now we know what the restraints were for,' Bellamy sighed.

'How long will she be out?' Echo asked.

'The sedative in the tranq-sticks should last up to three hours,' Jackson answered.

'Hey, what about the mothership? They're gonna think it's us,' Miller reminded them; 'How do we warn them?'

'We don't,' Bellamy sighed; 'Radios don't work down here. For now, we worry about ourselves. Murphy, are you ok?'

'His wounds are superficial,' Jackson answered when the boy didn't; 'You're lucky.'

'I'm lucky?' Murphy scoffed; 'Sorry. Is that your professional diagnosis? Because if so, you suck at being a doctor.'

'Murphy,' Echo hissed.

'What? No. What? I'm dying to know what he thinks turned my friend into the monster that just attacked me.'

Clarke looked up from the children's book she held, 'It's all right here. For two days, heaven is hell, and friends become foes. Whatever is in the air, it affects people, too.'

'Why are the rest of us ok?' Miller asked.

'I don't know, but according to this, is comes from the plants.'

'It's a children's book,' Byrd cocked a brow.

'Yeah, but it's coming true. When we were running from the bugs, Emori went down in the brush. It's probably why she lost it first.'

'First?' Echo pressed.

'We're all breathing it in,' Bellamy sighed.

'If it's the air out there, then we'll stay in here. We are gonna ride it out,' Miller nodded.

'That's a great plan, Miller,' Murphy drawled; 'What happens when we're trapped in here and the rest of us lose our minds?'

'I'm next,' Byrd looked up; 'I was surrounded by them in the forest, not as long as Emori was, but longer then you guys were. You need to lock me up away from everyone, because I can guarantee you, the first person I'm coming for is Blondie, here.'

'There's more restraints in school,' Bellamy stood; 'I'm guessing they're everywhere. We need to all separate.'

'I'll stay with Emori,' Echo offered.
