Byrd took a deep breath in when she stepped outside the building she'd been locked in, the air damp from the rain they'd received. She looked over the wet ground decorated with orange leaves, a rake in her hand because she was supposed to be farming; something she wasn't doing. She stopped beside Murphy as he did, their eyes falling upon McCreary as he leant on a tree coughing; eyes clenched shut.

She looked up to her boyfriend, a smirk coming onto her lips as she read his face; knowing they were thinking the same thing. They wandered across the land, the group they were supposed to be with leaving without them. She linked her hand in his, walking up behind the man as he continued to cough up a lung.

'Oh, you look horrible,' Murphy stated; 'Better get on that treatment.'

McCreary stood up a little, peeking over his shoulder at them before he turned to face them slowly.

'She didn't tell you,' Byrd smirked; 'Oh, of course not. Why would she? She wants you dead.'

The man pounced on her, pushing her back up against the tree with his arm across her neck. Her expression remained, holding his eye as Murphy stood beside them.

'Woah, woah, man. I got a boyfriend,' She held her hands up, amusement written across her face.

'Explain,' McCreary's gaze flicked between them both.

'You see? We're on your side,' Murphy informed him; 'Look. All I know is, Abby found a cure, rigged up some kind of machine to melt the crap in your lungs. My guess Diyoza's choosing who lives and dies.'

'You seem to be on the wrong list, Rat,' The girl chuckled.

The man let her go, but she didn't move from her spot; watching him.

'If what you're saying is true, you should get your friends and go as agreed before the bloodshed starts,' McCreary looked around the camp before turning his gaze back to them; 'If you're lying it'll be your blood that's shed.'

He left them then, striding across the camp. The couple looked at one another, both of them grinning as the smell of trouble. Murphy flopped his arm over her shoulders, leading them back to the building they slept in. They pushed open the doors after dumping the tools outside, striding right past a big, burly man and over to where their friends sat.

'God, your poker faces sucks,' Emori muttered.

'Listen to me,' Murphy stated; 'Diyoza didn't tell McCreary about the cure. I just did. Bad things are about to happen here.'

'Nice work, you guys,' Echo nodded; 'I'll tell Diyoza so her side is ready. As soon as the fighting starts, go to work on the collars... The pilot's, too.'

Raven looked up at the woman before she walked away, leaving them to sit for a second. She stood and crossed the room to where Shaw sat, giving Byrd and Murphy somewhere to sit. He sat first, pulling her into his lap; pecking her lips.
