Byrd ignored the torture going on behind her as the guards terrorised Shaw, flicking his collar on and off; electrocuting him again and again. She sat silent on the couch, watching on; staring blankly at the situation. Echo came to sit across from her, glaring over as Raven as she sat with Shaw.

'We need to kill him,' Echo muttered.

'Kill him, we loose her and our ticket out of here,' The Delani girl replied.

'Then what do we do?'

'What we do best. Find out what they're planning and put a stop to it. Killing Shaw does nothing to help us.'

'And what does?'

'Echo. You're a spy. Put that to some use. If the eye is down, then Octavia is coming. We need to find out what these guys are going to do in retaliation when they figure it out. My first step would be killing you pair, so, unless you want to change that, I'd hurry up.'

She held the woman's gaze as the door opened, neither of them looking away until a man spoke up.

'Which one of you is Raven Reyes?' It asked.

Raven crossed the room to stand by Shaw, 'Why is he wearing a collar?'

'You don't want to know,' Shaw whispered.

'Tell me.'

'Serial killer. He kept his victims' hands and feet as mementos. Other than that, he's a nice guy.'

Byrd let out a huff of amusement, smirking to herself. She liked the sound of him.

'What's this about, Vinson?' Shaw asked as the man came to stand in front of him.

'Collar looks good on you, Shaw,' Vinson drawled; 'Yours has been tagged to another facility for the day. Now walk with me.'

Shaw hesitated, but Raven stepped forward saying, 'I'll be ok.'

And with that, the pair left the building, leaving Echo and Byrd to share a look.

Byrd drew on the table with a piece of clay she'd found, sketching the camp outside subconsciously. It was well past nightfall and Raven was yet to return, the flames caused the shadows to dance on the walls. Everyone else was asleep beside Echo and herself, the woman waiting for Raven to return; herself unable to sleep.

She glanced up slightly when the doors opened, two guards dragging Raven in as her eyelids fluttered. Raven fell onto her bed, curling up into a ball as sweat sheen glistened on her skin. Echo moved over to sit behind her, placing a light hand on her shoulder. She relaxed when Raven reached up to place her hand over her own, but she didn't move any further.
