Sunday morning rain is falling......
The song lyrics really suit today's weather.
Rain hasn't stopped since the night it started!
This morning, I just wanted to stay at my bed, wrap myself with my thick blanket while watching the rain pours out my window with a hot, creamy coffee.
But, seems like the fuzzy feeling will have to wait,
Mom and Dad are so religious that they wouldn't care about the weather as long as they could go to a Sunday mass.
We must not have any schedule on Sunday aside from family bonding and going to mass. That's what their rules are.
And me, being a newly follower of God, would always follow that rule.
"Sam, wake up." My morning voice called.
"What?" Sam moaned in frustration. If there's something you can't do to him, it's waking him up from his slumber.
"We're going to church, remember?"
"But I'm still so sleepy."
"You slept earlier, so that should be my line." I said as I got up to my feet. "C'mon, Sam!" I called one last time before going out of the bedroom.
While making my way towards the bathroom, I just have now noticed how cold it was.
"Rachael?" A raspy voice called that must belong to a feminine.
"Yeah?"
"Why are you up so early?"
I got confused when my mom asked me that, because normally, she asks of the opposite.
"Aren't we supposed to be going to attend mass?" I asked, showing a tone of obviousness.
Mom's eyes widened at the sudden shock of realization. "Oh, dear! I forgot!"
Forgot? I whispered in my mind. She never forgets about mass. What's gotten into her?
Mom rushed inside their bedroom to prepare some stuff.
I just shrudded and continued to walk towards the bathroom.
It was quiet, of course. The friction of my slippers against the floor were the only sound filling the surroundings. It could be quite a scene for horror movies, if you ask me.
Twisting the doorknob, the things that me and Garren had discussed yesterday night flashed in my mind. I have no idea why it instantly came in my thoughts without any clue or why my heart pumped loudly as I thought of the star.
That night sky flooded with stars like a dust in your eyes. It would be a mircale if two people in different areas would spot just one star among countless surrounding it. But, that just happened to me and Garren. Although I hate to assume so much that we did saw the exact same star that night and he was referring to another bright star at their side, But isn't it much more interesting if it did happen?
The thought gave me a sudden unexplainable feeling, something that could make you smile and forget about the other things. "Damn." I sighed while smiling as I washed my face with water.
The water was cold, and I hesitated if I would go and take a shower or not. I might freeze before I could manage to take a step out of the bathroom. And if I did take one step, the chilly morning breeze will surely follow up and the next thing I'll know is that I'm already a girl inside an ice burg.
