Night Vale Unsolved

Carlos cursed as he picked up the papers he'd dropped. The loose charts and data were strewn around the middle of the room, and he resolved - not for the first time, and certainly not for the last - to get a binder to keep all of the papers in, or at least a folder with pockets. A knock at the door startled him, and he stood up, nearly hitting his head on the table on his way up.
"Come in!" He called, neatly stacking the papers back in their place. The door opened and two men came in. It took him a second, but Carlos recognized them as the two strangers he'd seen the previous night. Through the door, he saw more people, with cameras and microphones.
"Hi, Dr. Carlos, right?" The shorter of the two strangers asked. When Carlos nodded, he offered his hand. "I'm Ryan," he said.
"And I'm Shane." The other man said.
Carlos shook their hands and, after a brief hesitation, offered them a seat.
"We're from BuzzFeed," Ryan explained, "And we do this series called BuzzFeed Unsolved, where we investigate-"
"Talk about," Shane interjected.
"Yeah, talk about things like cold cases, conspiracies, cryptids,"
"Ghosts,"
"And things like that. We're filming an episode here, in Night Vale, and we were wondering if you could tell us about any of the weird things you've experienced, and if you, as a scientist, might have any thoughts on what's going on here?"
Carlos swallowed hard. Weird things? Plenty of options there to talk about. Night Vale was... definitely unique. But which things were safe to talk about, and which would get him dragged off by the Sheriff's Secret Police?
After what felt like a long deliberation, but which was only actually a few seconds, Carlos decided that he'd have more to explain if he didn't say yes.
"Um...sure! I'd love to!"
"Great!" Ryan said. Shane got up to let the other people in, and in they came, with their cameras and microphones. Carlos glanced at his watch - only 3:45. Surely this wouldn't take very long, right?
