~Qrows pov~

"Well, that could've gone better than expected," James sighed, "guys...what are we gonna do? She can't keep going like this. She's not sleeping, she barely eating...she's going to end up killing herself. I don't want to lose aunt Y/n" Ruby spoke as I let out a silent gasp and looked at her, "guys, relax...I'll go talk to her. I think I know better than most what she's going through..." Yang spoke gesturing to her yellow and black metal arm. "Trust me, she'll be fine" she spoke as she ran out past me. I paced in the room as I ran my fingers through my hair, Yang and Y/n had been gone for hours. I was starting to worry. The door opened, we all stopped what we were doing and looked at the door. "Told ya, she'd be back!" Yang spoke as Y/n walked in looking at the floor. "I'm sorry for what I said..." Y/n whispered as we looked at her, "Y/n, there's no need to apologize. I've been yelled at by women before" Tai spoke "hey!" Summer, Yang, and Ruby all said as Tai chuckled, "see" he spoke as Y/n grew a smile and started laughing. It had been weeks before she even cracked a smile, I stared at her as she laughed. Summer, Yang, and Ruby were all yelling at Tai, basically asking what he meant by that which causing Tai to nervously chuckle and stutter. "Hey," I started as she looked at me, "just try them...if you find you don't like them, we can take them off..." I said.

~Your pov~

"It's actually more complicated than that..." James spoke as we looked at him, "unlike Yang's arm that she has to screw on...these wings go right where your old wings were, the process will be painful. They will screw into your back, down to the nervous system, it'll feel like you didn't lose your wings." James spoke as I raised my eyebrows in surprise. "Don't sugar coat it" I said as he chuckled, I stared at the wings, they were really nice wings. "It's up to you Y/n..." James spoke as I sighed, "let's get them on..." I spoke as James nodded, "We should probably do this in the hospital wing" Tai spoke as I nodded, we walked to the hospital wing. I sat down on the bed as two doctors placed the metal wings on my back were my previous wings were. At first, there was nothing. "Y'know nothing is real-...HOLY FUCKING SHIT!" I shouted in pain as I groaned, "is it really that bad?" Qrow asked as I looked at him, "you're welcome to try it Qrow!" I spoke as he closed his mouth, I screamed out in pain. Soon the pain subsided, I jumped down from the seat and stretched. My new wings expanding in the process. "Ooo!" Ruby spoke as I snorted, "you said that these are faster?" I asked James who nodded. I looked at Qrow, "up for a race? I gotta test them out anyways" I told him as he chuckled, "sure..." he spoke as we walked out the school. "Maybe we should start you off with some light hovering" Summer spoke as I looked at her and chuckled, "Summer, when I was being raised by that evil bitch, I didn't really do light hovering. Thank you for being concerned though." I smiled as we all walked over the edge.

"It might take you a while to get the swing of it again" James spoke as I turned my back to the edge, "Nah...when someone flies everywhere they go all their life...they never forget," I told him as I smiled. I fell back causing Ruby, her friends, James and Winter to yell out. I expanded my wings and flew above them. 'These are kind of better than my last ones.' I thought as I flew high above the clouds and stared at the moon. Qrow soon joined me in his crow form. I held out my finger and he landed on my finger, "pretty bird" I joked as he rolled his eyes. I placed my forehead against his and closed my eyes. "I love you Qrow..." I whispered as he flew off my finger, he flew higher than me and came falling down as his regular form. I caught him, "I love you too Y/n..." he whispered as he kissed me. "I'm glad you do, cause then you wouldn't mind if I did this" I smiled as he cocked his head, I let go of him. "Oh you  little-..." he started as he fell and I laughed. I flew down and landed on one of my knees (superhero landing basically) cracking the courtyard in the process. "Whoops..." I spoke as James chuckled, Qrow flew back down and landed beside me as he turned into his regular form. "You dropped me" he looked at me as I snorted, "you can fly...pretty bird," I said as he rolled his eyes.

~A week later~

Everyone was going up against the White Fang since they were still a problem. I flew as fast as I could and landed in front of Qrow, Ruby, and Tiayang before one of the members could shoot them. I had Qrow, Summer, and Tai paint my wings so they looked like my old wings. The bullets hit my wings and bounced off. They didn't seem to get the memo, I quickly turned around, putting one of my wings in front of me. "Behind me...in a line," I told them as Qrow couched down behind me followed by Ruby and then finally Tai we pushed up to the White Fang members, I fought one of the members, they knocked Shadowfang out of my hand, I just smirked. I grabbed a few metal feathers from my wings and threw them at the White Fang member. They impaled his chest and he fell to the ground. I walked up to him and pulled the feathers out of him. I placed them back in my wings as I stretched. I could hear whispers. I turned and saw more White Fang members. They stared at me while whispering, they laid down their weapons and bowed. "Uhm..." I was kind of scared, my eyes landed on Adam who walked in front of me and bowed. his weapon was in front of him, and he was down on one of his knees.

"What the fuck?" Qrow asked as I looked at him and shrugged. "You're the last of the eagle faunus..." Adam began as Blake growled, "yes" I nodded, he looked up at me and cocked his head to the side, "you have no idea do you?" he asked as I shrugged. "No idea about what?" I asked him, "about who you truly are..." he spoke as my eyes grew wide, Blake went to attack him but I stopped her with my wing.
