We trained until some trees fell and there was a loud roar. We all looked over at Zero and her nieces. They did it, the had summoned a goliath. We all stopped and looked at it. I smile as Qrow wrapped his arm around me. "I think we're ready..." he spoke as I looked at him and nodded. That night, I left my tent and saw everyone was silent. They were all sitting around campfires, 'morale is low apparently' I sighed as Qrow walked up, "geez, you'd think they'd be more for the fight" he whispered as I walked up to where all the headmasters were (yeah, the headmasters were there...obviously because Ironwood and Oz were there but the last headmaster was there with the final Relic, and Winter was the Winter Maiden now so she locked away the last Relic with the other three) "does Salem have the crown of choice?" I asked as Oz looked at me and shook his head, "it's still hidden at Beacon...once this is all over, we'll go there and bring all the Relics together to bring back the gods" he told me as I sighed. I nodded and walked over to where team RWBY, Summer and Tai were. "Hey, aunt Y/n" Yang spoke as I sat down on the ground. I looked over at Blake who was staring at the fire with her head on Sun's shoulder. "You know..." I started as they all looked at me, "I barely knew my parents. They raised me until I was six." I spoke as Qrow sat beside me, Oz and Ironwood walked up to us, "I thought Salem loved me. She told me that I had given her the chance to be a mother. But I realized quickly that she was only using me." I looked at them, "you guys, are the best family I could ever have" I told them as Hoshi and Aika smiled.

"I just...wanted to tell you guys in case something were to happen," I told them as Qrow pulled me close to him, "nothing is going to happen to you" he spoke as I smiled at him. He was silent as he pulled off one of his rings. "Here..." he spoke as he handed it to me, I stared at the silver ring, "a good luck charm...and a way to remember to come back to me..." he whispered as I looked at him, "hard to believe I'd fall for a Branwen of all people..." I joked as he laughed. I put the ring on my middle finger since it was the only finger it could fit on. He then kissed me. I lay my head on his chest as I stared at the fire. After a few hours, I began to notice that morale had changed drastically. Morale was high. I smiled as I got up and walked back into my tent. "Going to sleep?" Qrow spoke as I looked at him and nodded. "We've got a long day tomorrow.", "How are you feeling?" he asked as I sat on my bed sighing, "I'm nervous," I told him as he sat beside me. He placed his hand in mine and kissed my knuckles, "we'll win...for the first time in our lives...our luck is changing" he spoke as I snorted, "I think you mean for the first time in your life" I spoke as he chuckled. "Your nightmares, your wings...all of it...leading up to this point was nothing but bad luck for you...for both of us" he explained as I stared at him. "But now...the tide is turning," he spoke, I smiled and kissed him again.

The next morning I sat up and yawned. I looked over and saw Qrow sleeping. He was shirtless, I looked around the tent and began to remember what we did last night. I smiled a little as I got up and got dressed. I walked out of my tent and saw everyone packing up for our long journey. I stretched and my wings expanded. I looked at my golden metal wing. 'I really thought they'd be heavy...but I guess they're made of a lightweight metal...' I walked up to Ironwood and handed him a chip. "When the battle is over, you'll know what to do," I told him as he nodded, "also, thank you..." I said as he cocked his head, I let out a sigh, "for the wings...I really cannot thank you enough" I gave him a kiss on the cheek and walked back to my tent where Qrow was getting dressed. We were silent as he got dressed for battle. I wasn't wearing any armor because my wings were my armor. I placed Shadowfang on my lower back as we moved out.
