With the upcoming ball, Else had personally come by Sheze's home with a few dresses and accessory sets.

"I am so glad to hear that you have gotten engaged, Lilian!" Else said as she happily shook my hands up and down.

I met Else a few months ago. She is a small looking shopkeeper girl with short brown hair and freckles. Her father is a Blacksmith named Arthur who got us acquainted with each other.

"Thank you," I said with a smile.

"I have brought over the perfect dress as well!" Else said

She brought out a beautiful slim fitted off the shoulder lavender colored dress with a high thigh slit and frilly mermaid skirt. There were also long lace sleeves and a delicate beaded design on the center of the chest area.

"It is very beautiful," I said as I marveled at Else's newest creation.

"Are you happy that your fiancée seems to like the dress as well, Duke?" Else asked Sheze.

"Did you choose this dress?" I asked Sheze.

"I liked it because it matched the color of your eyes," Sheze said with a slightly shy look.

"It is lovely," I said.

"I have prepared the dress and shoes, but I think that my mother is much better with jewelry," Else said as she introduced a beautiful woman with freckles and long brown hair like hers.

"I am Else's mother and Arthur's wife Ella," the woman said as she brought out a large trunk. "I have brought out a few sets that I believe will be perfect for the occasion."

When she opened the large trunk, she revealed two very different sets.

One set was made with sapphires and had an elegant thin chain and matching earrings. The other set was a beautiful pearl choker with a large black diamond in the center with pearl earrings.

"They are both very beautiful," I said.

"It is common for ladies to receive jewelry reflecting their lover's hair or eye color, or would you like a piece of jewelry reflecting your own eye color, Lady Lilian?" Ella asked.

"They are both very beautiful, so I am not sure of what to pick...What do you think, Sheze?" I asked.

"Let's buy both and hand me a catalogue of your other items. I want to buy a few more sets for Lilian to wear around. She does not like anything to extravagant, so let's get her something simple and elegant," Sheze said commandingly.

My fiancé seems more into shopping than I am...

"This is too much...I was just asking about which one I should wear to the upcoming ball," I said.

"I think the pearl choker with the black diamond is good. It is a signature color of my black hair. Blue eyes like mine are a little too common," Sheze said with a smile.

"We have the same opinion then...I thought the black diamond pearl choker was nice too," I said.

"Forget about looking at the catalogue. I will buy everything you have in your store," Sheze said with a serious expression.

"Nononono..." I said as I tried to stop my doting spendthrift fiancé.

The ball soon came within a few days. I was woken up early, took two baths, received a rose oil massage, went through some other rigorous beauty treatments and then got fitted into my dress and put on makeup as the maids did my hair.

My long ash blonde hair was styled down with some light waves and braids with sporadic pearl design to match my accessories

When done, I felt like I became a new woman.
