"Why is Polucia in danger?" Sala asked as she ran beside me.

"...I have a bad feeling," I said.

My bad feeling ended up being right, when we heard screaming in the direction of the Pharmacy.

Sala and I hid behind a building to observe the scene from afar.

We soon came across a scene where Polucia was standing in front of the injured Lucia who was sitting on the ground with a profusely bleeding arm outside of the Pharmacy.

Standing in front of Polucia was a man with shoulder length silky raven black hair, all black military clothes, and a long black sword drawn at Polucia's neck. His long bangs covered half of his face which made his face difficult to see, but something in my soul already told me the answer about his identity. As if trying to confirm my answer, a cold wind blew through his hair and revealed his beautiful sapphire blue eyes.

Sheze Chaldean was in the middle of his Witch hunt...

I did not have time to panic and quickly thought about what I could do to save at least Polucia from this situation.

"Why are you going after a frail little girl! She has been a resident here all of her life and has supported everyone through this Pharmacy!" Polucia shouted.

He does not know that Polucia is a Witch as well.

"Move aside," Sheze ordered in a cold voice.

"No!" Polucia said stubbornly.

"That person you are protecting is a Witch. By law, she is a criminal," Sheze said frigidly.

"The government has use for Witches that are able to make healing and stamina potions. Use that to save her life," I ordered Sala as I pushed her forward.

Sala obediently ran towards the dangerous situation.

"Stop! Even if she is a Witch, there is no reason to kill her! She can become a Witch Doctor and continue her research towards healing and stamina potions if the government allows it," Sala said strongly.

Sheze lowered his sword after Sala's proclamation about the law.

"...Yeah, there is a law like that somewhere. If a Witch were to prove themselves to be beneficial to the country, the government will allow a Witch to practice under the supervision of the military," Sheze said.

"If that is the case, you should allow Lucia to have an audience and get tested by the military. She will be a valuable resource to the country," Sala continued.

Although Sala was shaking in the inside and outside, she delivered her counters brilliantly...but it is odd.

Even though Sheze lowered his sword, he did not sheathe it or release his bloodlust yet.

"That law applies to Witches that have only had minor crimes," Sheze said as he walked to the side of the Pharmacy building and began cutting up the brick wall with his sword. A few moments later, half of the wall fell down and revealed what appeared to be an operation room with various cages with humans mixed with animal parts. "Human experimentation to create Chimeras is the heftiest forbidden crime there is and punishable by death at least twenty lifetimes..."

Those half humans and half creatures all appeared as young children. There were at least fifteen children trapped in human sized cages and covered in bloody bandages. Each and every one of them were either crying in pain or asking for someone to save them. The grotesque operating table that was right next to the cages was surrounded with plastic walls covered in blood splatters. Beside that was a bloody set of grotesque looking torturing tools and surgical operating tools.
