"You did not leave with him," Queen Geruscha said as she came up to me. "Even after knowing that you were a despicable little Witch, he told you that he loved you and wanted to be with you."

Queen Geruscha likes to spit poisonous words everywhere she goes.

Even that lookalike man was probably used to test my loyalty to my ambitions.

"...You have tortured me for quite some time. When will you tell me how to rid this Witch's curse?" I asked.

"The Witch's curse that forces you to research your specialty at all costs even if it means abandoning or hurting your loved ones?" Queen Geruscha asked as she caressed my face. "Only I know of a way to end it...You have to continue listening to me if you want to know of a way to end it."

"Just what is next?" I asked.

"You do not sound too enthusiastic, Lilian. Just one more trial and I will tell you everything you want to know," Queen Geruscha said.

Within a few days, I prepared myself for a long trip. The destination was the last Demon King's tomb.

Around 500 years ago, there was an individual afflicted with strong magical powers. His presence enriched the land with overflowing life force. It was said that there were no such things as deserts or barren infertile land for agriculture because of his presence. He was said to be of common birth and grew up on the outskirts of the capital where he would help with small things like farming or mending homes for the people.

He became known as the Kind Wizard.

He was kind and more popular than the Royal Family which led to them making up rumors that the source of the Kind Wizard's powers came from living sacrifices. As a result, the people that believed in the rumors and ostracized him and began calling the Kind Wizard as the Demon King.

The King of that time began hiring people as pawns called Heroes to hunt for the so called Demon King. They failed each and every time and were returned home without a mark on their bodies. However, the King hired assassins that would kill the Heroes that failed and would blame their deaths on the Demon King. The more the garnered the people's hate against the Demon King, the more the people trusted and invested their funds into the government.

The cruel cycle continued even after the King of that time died and rose another and another King.

After a few hundred years, the Demon King caught whiff of what was happening to the Heroes he fought and decided to kill the King his entire Royal Family to end the viscous cycle. He who had never killed a living being before tasted his first blood and went back to his castle and did not resist when it came to his next challenger.

At the end of it all, he resigned to death in his castle by the Hero of that time...Zahar Chaldean whom also happens to be Sheze's ancestor.

Witches took part in recording history as is unlike the current works that are almost all filled with bias and glorifying of the Royal Family. That is one of the main reasons they were highly hunted back then but now are hunted for causing disturbances with their research.

The reason for my trip is to go to the Demon King's castle and look for clues into how to destroy my curse.

At that time, Witches were a peaceful race that led the people with their knowledge and never thought about harming other living beings.

Queen Geruscha said that the Witch Queen at that time was so heartbroken from the Demon King's death that she cursed all of her descendants to cause mayhem against the vile Humans and cursed them into harming all of their loved ones whom were not Witches themselves.
