Chapter 23: Persuasion

"I am courting you because I find you attractive," Lemon Head explained.

"I see...Allow me to say that your courtship will not be reciprocated," I said as I pushed him away and began making my exit.

"Why is that?" Lemon Head asked as he blocked my path.

Persistent Lemon...

"You are not my type," I answered frigidly.

"If you are single, I can always change your mind," Lemon Head said.

"Do I really need to be in a relationship to reject someone I am clearly not interested in?" I asked as I walked around him.

"If you are single, I am allowed to pursue you," Lemon Head said confidently.

"Do you think it is alright for a superior to persistently pursue a subordinate to the point that they find it a bother? Please mind your own position when pursuing love and avoid harassing," I said sharply.

He seemed to give up after that from how he was no longer pursuing me.

I went to find a reading spot underneath a tree to indulge myself for awhile and went back to Sheze's office.

"I fell in love...She was truly a beautiful enigma unlike I have ever seen before," Lemon Head said as I opened the door to Sheze's office.

"My apologies for not knocking first. I was not aware that you had guests," I said as I tried to take my leave.

"It's fine, Lilian. Come back in. This is just my friend Charles Weifield visiting. If anyone, he is the rude one to come without sending me a prior notice," Sheze said.

"We meet again, my enigmatic beauty," Lemon Head said as he walked towards me. "Your name is Lilian?"

"Do you have something to say to me, Lilian?" Sheze asked me with a smiling expression.

"The reason that I told you that I would not be able to reciprocate your feelings is because I have feelings for this man," I said as I pointed to Sheze.

"He is a married man. Certainly, I can fulfill your love much better than he can," Lemon Head said.

"Do people here know the name of your wife?" I whispered to Sheze.

"...They should," Sheze whispered back.

I could always come out and say that I was happily married to Sheze and came here because I was kidnapped by Marquis Landon Roswell and forced to come here through a forbidden transportation spell only to set his castle on fire and runaway to seek help from my husband...

"The Duke does not seem to mind my seduction," I said as I sat on Sheze's desk and pulled his chin towards me.

"Are you really fine with this?" Lemon Head asked Sheze. "She is clearly asking you to cheat on your wife!"

"...She is certainly quite persuasive," Sheze said with a loving gaze as he stared back at me without breaking eye contact.

"You have a loving wife waiting for you, Sheze!" Lemon Head said.

"Indeed...she is waiting for you," I said as I caressed Sheze's chin.

"I should answer her soon," Sheze said with a sexy smile.

We soon heard a knock on the door.

"It is Hertil...I have brought Koran with me as well," Sir Hertil said.

I released Sheze's chin and came down from his desk.

"Come in," Sheze said.

"My Lady!" Koran said as she quickly ran and embraced me.
