Dexter:

I just finished talking to Lizzie when Nevar's voice rang throught the room.

That's how much time we had. I freaked out, running downstairs. My dorm was a crowded mess. Apparently Ashlyn and Hunter were hanging out, and Apple showed up with Briar to tell her about Nevar. Briar invited Hopper, who invited Sparrow, who brought the merry me, who invited their girlfriends, who brought their friends, who invited their boyfriends-well you get the idea.

"Where's Daring?" Apple asked. "We could certainly use someone like him right now"

Lizzie who had come with me, burst into tears and ran.

"Daring... he's" but I couldn't say it all again.

I just looked at the crowd helplessly.

"We're screwed" I whispered, no one heard.

"Apple, Briar,Maddie,Cerise. You guys should see it." I had no idea why I chose them, it just seemed right.

Hopper stepped forward and grabbed Briar's hand. "I'm going to"

I sighed. "Fine."

Then I relized: Hopper and Briar?

I shook my head, there were other things to think about. Reflective things.

Like the shattered mirror on Daring's dorm floor.

Each peice of glass had a letter.

"What could it mean" Briar asked.

Cerise and Apple were quietly crying by Daring's side. I tried to ignore Cerise. Other things.

"We'll have to unscramble them. Apple! Grab a peice of paper and write down the letters we tell you to!" Still crying she nodded and did that.

I averted my eyes from Cerise's shaking body and focased on the peices of glass.

"T!"

"I found M!"

"Here's an R!"

In a few minutes we had all the letters written down.

"The glass is smashed. Raven is lost. You cannot win this. Surrender or die." Maddie whispered.

Someone upstairs in my dorm screamed. We couldn't get there fast enough. Glass covered the floor, then a sound like every mirror in the entire castle shattering crashed around us. Someone laughed evilly.

Raven was gone, for good. Daring was in a coma. At that moment Baba Yaga and Headmaster Grimm came to the door.

"Students, don't be alarmed." Grimm started.

Baba Yaga fell dead onto the floor, a shocked look on her face.

He looked startled for a moment then regained his composure.

"I think it is best if you run this show." and he fled.

The war had started.
