"Kindly refrain from using that sort of language in front of a lady," Alastor said, coming to take a seat beside me, "If you are enough of an adult to keep your manners intact, then please have a seat and join us."
Wordlessly, my cousin and his wife took a seat, each in an armchair across from us. Alastor's grin spread across his face, "That's better. Now, what business would you like to discuss before dinner."
"It seems word has gotten out about (Y/N) running off," Edgar said, shooting me an accusatory glance, "And it seems my investors in the printing industry have decided to back out. They seem to have the idea that a businessman who cannot keep his family intact cannot keep a business intact either. Now my paper, the 'Ink and Quill', I'm sure you've heard of it, is sinking faster than the Titanic. And it seems there has already been an offer for a buy-out."
Alastor looked absolutely amused as he leaned back in his seat, "My my, all over one cousin deciding she did not want to put up with your antics? Are you sure that was the only problem?" Edgar's mouth twitched as he looked between Alastor and I, while Mary just sat there stone-faced.
"Maybe your investors saw a pattern," Alastor mused, "Maybe dear (Y/N) was just one link in a long chain of incompetence on your part."
"I beg your pardon!" Edgar spat, jumping to his feet. Mary took this as her cue to silently begin weeping.
"What's the matter, Edgar?" The Radio Demon chuckled, "Can't handle a little business pressure?"
"You have no right to talk about me or my family!" Edgar hissed to Alastor before turning to me, "I've had enough of your bullshit, (Y/N). You're coming with us."
"No," I said firmly, speaking for the first time tonight, "And I will kindly thank you to get the hell out."
