Alastor took me to a posh, very modern, restaurant on the north end of the pentagram. As we stepped out of the car, I was caught off guard by several flashing lights. I stumbled backward a step, blushing a bit as Alastor caught me.

"Paparazzi," He whispered in my ear, "Just ignore them. They feed on attention." I nodded, trying to keep my eyes on the door.

It was quieter inside the restaurant, and thankfully camera free. A blonde hostess with impeccable winged eyeliner showed us to a private table set aside with a bottle of wine open and appetizers waiting for us.

"Well this is pleasant," I commented as we took our seats.

"I prefer a certain kind of style," Alastor replied, pouring us each a generous glass of the wine, "And a night like tonight gives me ample excuse to show off that style."

Taking a sip of the sweet, delicious wine, I couldn't help but smile, "And what exactly are we celebrating?"

Alastor gave me a Cheshire grin in return, "Oh a number of things, my dear. Our victory over your prat of a cousin for a start. Our kiss for another." I blushed at the mention of our kiss. I don't know what had come over me. I didn't normally behave like that.

"I think you and I make a good team," Alastor carried on, watching me with that red gaze of his, "What do you think?"

"I think I should take that wine away from you," I replied in a teasing tone, "But you are right, we do make a good team."
