"Selene, could you please stop smoking?!" Tiana hissed. If looks could kill, I'm probably ashes by now. "For Christ's sake!"
I rolled my eyes on my maarte cousin and breathed out my smoke on her face. Before her hand could even reach my cheek, I quickly took a step back. "I have no need for additional blush." I giggled then I walked away from her.
They said that Tiana is the bitchiest among us cousins. To prove them wrong, I irritate the hell out of Tiana whenever I got the chance. I want the crown to be mine. I am the bitchiest and the only bad-ass.
I am still smiling like a creep while I walked aimlessly.
Today is Kuya Trey's surprise wedding for Marron. It will be held on the hills. Then tomorrow is their grand church wedding.
Some bitch got all the luck.
When I spotted a carriage being pulled by a carabao, I hurriedly run towards the concrete road. "Wait up!" I shouted.
The old man maneuvering the carabao looked at me but didn't bother to stop.
Mabilis na nakaramdam ako ng inis. But then I realized that maybe he didn't get what I said.
"Pasabay po!" I hurriedly said.
Thank heavens he finally stopped. I continued running towards the carriage. I am almost out of breath when I finally hopped in.
"Saan ka ba, ineng?" The old man politely asked.
I took few deep breaths to steady my breathing. I think I should hit the gym again. My stamina is failing.
"Sa labas po. Kahit saang tindahan po." I answered with a smile.
The man remained quiet after he nodded at me.
Mabagal ang lakad ng carabao kaya I got more time to appreciate the beauty of Hacienda Vergara unlike when we arrived here riding a car. There were trees anywhere I looked. The air is so fresh and the whole place smelled like nature. It's so relaxing here.
"I wish I have my phone with me." I murmured while admiring the view.
"Bisita ka nila Senyor? Hindi ba at may pagtitipon sa burol? Hindi ba roon ang tungo mo?" The old man suddenly asked.
"I'm just an ordinary guest." I replied. I bit my lip thinking on how to say it in a way he could understand. I have no problem in understanding Tagalog when talking to someone, but I have difficulty in speaking the language. My family lived in New York most of my life. And even when we decided to stay here for good, most people I talked to are speaking foreign language.
"Uhm..." I scratched my neck. "'Di po ako mahalaga na bisita." I nodded to myself when I thought that I said made sense. "They'll be fine kahit walang ako."
I pouted when the old man laughed.
"Naku, Ineng. Mahihirapan ka dine kung hirap ka managalog. Bibihira rito sa Hacienda ang nakakapag-Tagalog. Lalo na ang mag-Ingles. Ngunit mababait ang mga tao dine kaya hindi ka naman mapapahamak. Kung mahirapan ka na makaintindi sa sasabihin ng mga taga rine at mawala ka, sabihin mo lang na itawag kay Senyorito Ram. Alam ng lahat kung paano tumungo sa mga Senyor."
"Maraming salamat po." I smiled even I am still thinking of what he just said. All I understand is that I can tell people here to call for Ram when I got myself into trouble.
The old man dropped me off on a small store. I thanked him and tried to give him money but he refused. He said that I'm a guest of the Vergaras so they will all show hospitality towards me. There's nothing to worry about.
I checked on the store and I doubt if I could buy a stick of cig in here. All I see are packets of small chips and wrapped candies.
One middle-aged woman emerged from inside the house made of woods and say something. I didn't get it but I think she's asking me what I need.
"Mayroon po ba kayong cigarette?" I asked politely.
The woman's brows furrowed. She didn't get me.
I lifted my hand and tried gesturing how I smoke. The woman's eyes lit up and she hurriedly showed me packets of cigarettes.
I scanned the three boxes she showed me. I'm not familiar with the brand.
Oh well, could I expect for a small store to sell Capri?
"I'll get whichever." I smiled then snatched a yellow bill from my pocket.
The lady placed all boxes on a plastic bag then handed it to me. She tried giving me a change but I refused.
"Oh, no thanks. You can keep the change. I have no room for coins in my pocket." I smiled then shook my head.
"Goodbye. Thank you for this!" I lifted the bag I was holding then waved at the woman.
I started walking aimlessly. I don't know if I am walking back towards the mansion or I am walking towards the exit. Whichever way, I'll just wait until I bumped into anyone with a ride and ask for a ride back to the mansion.
I walked pass a big arc with the Vergara family crest on each pedestals and big metal letters which read 'HACIENDA VERGARA'
"Is this the boundary?" I asked myself.
I decided to take a break and sat on a huge stone laying at the side of the road. I will just wait for someone to pass this arc and nicely ask for a ride.
I lifted the hem of the boho dress I am wearing and from the pocket of my shorts, I got my lighter. I checked on the three packets of cigarettes. I decided to try the one named 'HOPE'.
I started puffing on the stick. I took a deep breath of the stick then I raised a brow while looking on the lighted stick.
I threw my head backwards then playfully exhaled the smoke. "So this is how hope tastes like." I chuckled.
I simply sat on the huge stone, kept on breathing on the sticks I bought, and thinking about nothing at all. There's nothing to think anyway. My family can do that for me. All I have to do is to do the other way.
Am I rebellious? Maybe.
I just want to add some 'fun' in their perfect and organized life.
I was on my sixth stick when I saw someone looking up at the arc of the hacienda. I almost didn't recognize him. The last time I saw him he got a clean cut and he looked so neat and dignified. But now, he got his jet black wavy hair covering his nape and beard on his smooth face.
This man doesn't look like a dignified doctor anymore. But he's damn hot. As hot as Captain America.
Damn. If I'm a boy, I'll probably have a boner right now.
I always like his face. He's exactly my type. Not too handsome, but his face spoke a character and angst he's desperately trying to conceal. Kind when he smiles, and a royal snob when he's serious.
The reason why I don't like Icen no matter how persistent he could be is because he's too handsome for my taste. He got a very pretty face that girls could be jealous. His skin was too fair, and I bet his cock is more pinkish than my tits.
But this man in front of me, when I first saw him, I thought that I could be attracted if only he's not 'too neat'. I am the kind of woman who wants a wild man. A beast.
And looking at him now... He could be the man of my wet dreams.
