"Akala ko ba health conscious ka?" Frigate smirked at me while watching me munch on my potato chips.

I rolled my eyes on him. "When did I say that?" Inilapit ko ang isang piraso ng chips sa bibig n'ya. Frigate took that. He's smirking at me while munching on my chip.

As days progress, Frigate is becoming more and more relaxed. He looks happy, in fact. Parang hindi galing sa broken relationship.

"You look happy." I said while raising a brow on him.

Frigate chuckled. Kumuha s'ya ng ilang piraso sa bag of chips ko. "I'm happy."

I smirked. "Moved on?" I raised a brow on him. "It's been what? Two weeks since your ex's wedding. Move on ka na that fast?"

Frigate stared at me for some moment then he sighed. He reached for the corner of my mouth to wipe something away, then he gave me a pained smile. "When I learned that she had sex with Trey, in the back of my mind I already accepted that Marron is no longer mine. It was my desperate attempt to keep her when I asked her to marry me."

I almost shiver when Frigate smirked at me. His intense pair of orbs bored into mine.

"That night, I am honestly expecting her to turn me down. Alam ko naman kasi na iba 'yong pagmamahal n'ya kay Trey Amante. I was a listener to that story of extreme and unconditional love. I thought that after what happened to them, she came to her senses that she's still madly in love with him. I was just..." He sighed. "I was just some guy who helped her in fixing herself."

I pouted. I want to say something but I kept my mouth shut. May sasabihin pa s'ya e.

"I was overwhelmed when she said 'yes' to my proposal." Frigate chuckled then reached for my hand. He started playing with my fingers. "I was prepared to be rejected that time. Kaya hindi ko maipaliwanag 'yong naramdaman ko. And I see hope that time. I took that as a sign that she might really be the one for me."

"If you're in love with her, how can you easily let her go?" Hindi ko na napigilan. "Sabi mo, you're ready to be left behind. You're aware that she doesn't really love you. It sounds like, you deliberately let yourself be used by her. Bakit? Are you a martyr?" I am almost hissing at him. "That's stupid, Frigate!"

Frigate gave me a sarcastic smile then he let go of my hand. He leaned on the backrest of his seat then threw his head backwards. "I just thought that she needs saving."

"You think that was heroic?" I sarcastically laughed. "That was moronic, Frig. It's unhealthy to use another person to move on from a broken relationship."

"Uh-huh."

I stared at Frigate for a moment. I can't explain what I am feeling, but mostly I am annoyed.

"Let's play. I am bored." I said after a while. I relaxed on my seat then took my banana shake. "Let's play truths. I'll go first. I'll ask you a question. You answer then ask me a question. We can choose not to answer but you have to do a dare for that. Once you choose not to answer, you can't back out on the dare."

"And how extreme the dares could be?" He asked, obvious that he's not interested. Napilitan lang sumagot.

"If you pass on me, I'll ask you to run naked on the shore." Mataray na sagot ko.

"Why am I not surprised?" Frigate chuckled then sat up straight. "Okay, fire away."

"Why you chose Marron? Bakit mo s'ya niligawan?" I started.

Frigate is a good looking man. Plus he's a doctor. I won't question Kuya Trey for liking Marron. They started young, and I heard that they grew together. Mababa ang standards ng mga bata.
