"Are you insane?" Jungkook paced back and forth across Jimin's room "why would you leave without us knowing?" he yelled at the elder, voice echoing throughout the whole room.Everyone was there. Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Namjoon, Taehyung, and Jungkook. All of them were eyeing Jimin as if he was their prey. Well, aside from Taehyung who sat behind him rubbing his back as if to comfort him.
"Jungkook, tone down your voice" Taehyung reprimanded to which Jungkook replied by expressing what using his face.
Jimin on the other hand remained still, sitting at the edge of the hospital bed with head hung low.
"Enough of that Kook, let Jimin rest first. He'll be discharged by evening" Hoseok butted in.
"I'll bring him home then" Jin said as he stood from his seat "let me just pack your things"
"No need hyung, I already got it" Jimin's head snapped at Jungkook's declaration while the younger just stared at him. The heated interaction was then cut off by Jin.
"Excuse me?" Jin's voice raised. He may have acted civil towards Jungkook but it doesn't mean he fully trusts him.
"He's my husband, I have all the right to decide where he should be staying" Jungkook snapped back with finality.
"If I remembered it right, you left him hanging when he needed you the most" Jin retorted, eyes and ears slowly getting red due to his suppressed anger.
"If I remembered it right, that slut left Jungkook first to run away with his lover" Yoongi, who was silent all the while finally spoke.
Everyone looked at his direction except for Jungkook. Jin was red with anger. His mouth was open but no words were coming out. Namjoon dragged Yoongi back to his seat. Hoseok gave Yoongi a knowing look while Taehyung was speaking through his face, silently telling Yoongi to back down. Jimin, well, he silently looked at Yoongi. He was wearing a painful smile on his face. His eyes were glistening as he nodded, silently agreeing to Yoongi's accusation.
"Yoongi hyung is right. I am a slut. I left my husband for someone I don't even remember" the long been held tears finally found their path right on Jimin's cheeks "if you're all done with the conversation, I'm going down already " he said, patting Taehyung on the back "Jungkook" he then looked at the youngest who just stared at him, face void with emotions "I'll wait for you at the parking lot" then he left.
All of them remained rooted on their spots. No one dared speak another word. They may have secretly resent Jimin for his past, except Jin, but the pain on Jimin's face was enough to make them feel guilty. They shouldn't have felt that way, really, but that was how they felt right at the moment.
The loud slam of the door pulled everyone out of their reverie. Jungkook was nowhere to be seen inside the room. He probably ran after Jimin.
"Hyung, I told you to hold your temper back. Something's fishy here and we don't want to risk Jimin's life just because we judged him wrong" Hoseok nagged to which Namjoon agreed.
"Jimin's condition isn't stable yet" added Namjoon.
"What do you mean fishy?" Taehyung asked in confusion. It was as if he was the only one oblivious of something about Jimin's disappearance years ago.
"I asked a friend from the Philippines to double check Jimin's case" Yoongi softly said, brows knitted as he slowly puzzled everything out.
"and?" Taehyung urged, scooting closer towards Yoongi.
"The handkerchief. There was a chloroform content on the handkerchief" Yoongi whispered, carefully analyzing every data Cortez sent him.
"so?" Taehyung dumbly asked. Obviously, he was the only one who hasn't sorted out the pieces yet.
