The night was chilly and the constant blow of the wind was cold on Jimin's warm skin. The erratic beating of his heart did no help as shivers crawled up to his spine. He's nervous, all right. How can he not be? Tonight's birthday surprise for his husband will either make him or break him.
Although everyone has been telling him to calm down because according to them, Jungkook will- without a doubt- say yes, still, he's feeling kinda jittery. Can'treally help it when you will be kneeling in front of the one you're dreaming to spend the rest of your life with and ask them too spend their life with you too a few minutes from now.
Taking a glance at everything for the umpteenth time today, Jimin heaved a sigh of anxiousness. Sure, he's confident that this will turn out all positive, but there's still this small part of his brain telling him that something utterly unexpected will happen tonight.
The tickling vibration from his phone tucked inside his dress shirt pulled him out of trance. Yoongi's name registered on the screen. With frantic hands and trembly fingers, he answered the call.
"We're on the parking lot. Taehyung's coming to guide him up the hill" Yoongi says on the other line.
"Oh. Okay hyung. Thank you. Gosh, I've never been this nervous my whole life" he admitted making Yoongi chuckle.
"Hey, we all know Jungkook's head over heels for you. Don't worry, everything will turn out the way you want it to be" Yoongi says reassuringly. He muttered a small thank you before ending the call. It might be a simple reassurance for Yoongi, but for him, his hyung's words were comfort.
He heaved a deep sigh once again, driving the negativity away.
Turning around, he was greeted by the magnificent view of Seoul. The blinking city lights from afar gives a different feeling. A good different though. A comforting one.
The place they're at is a mountain resort. The place gives a good view of the city and its skyscraper buildings during the day. At night time, sprawled far away are the city lights which looks more like stars blanketing the night sky. .
When he planned this proposal weeks ago, he knew this place would be the perfect spot. He's been here once with his Jin hyung. Jin was asked to cook for a certain event at that time and he just tagged along. The day they left, which was the day after the event, he promised himself to go back here. Never in his wildest imagination that he'd be back here for this reason. God really has the best laid out plans.
He looked up, only to see a wishing star leaving a faint line in the sky. He quickly closed his eyes for a wish.
I WISH FOR JUNGKOOK'S SAFETY AND HAPPINESS.
When he opened his eyes, the wishing star was gone.
"As expected" he muttered to himself.
He spent the time waiting while looking at the clear night sky.
"Please help me make my wish come true" he whispered to no one in particular.
If anyone was out there, a godmother maybe, a guardian angel, or the divine one, he hopes they hear him. He loves Jungkook so much, its almost impossible to describe his feelings.
In all honestly, he thought he would grow old all alone. As funny as it sounds, he believes he will. Who would want to be with someone who doesn't remember anything besides his name? When Jungkook came into his life once again, his belief changed in an instant.
"He's here!" Namjoon informed after poking him from the back.
He starts to fidget yet again.
"Hey, just relax and enjoy the night. I don't really understand why you feel all fidgety when we all know Jungkook's gonna say yes. The man's dead in love with you" Namjoon says while playfully wriggling his eyebrows. A chuckle escaped from his lips.
