"Seriously guys, what brings you here?" Jimin asked. All of them were now gathered in the living room, The Avengers: End Game playing on the wide screen of the flat screen TV in front of them.
Namjoon turned to look at Jungkook as if asking for an unnecessary permission before opening his mouth hesitantly to answer him. "Jungkookie asked us to look after you"
"Look after me?" he questioned, gaze now fixed on Jungkook- though he already has a pretty good idea why.
"Babe, everything's different now. Your life will always be at risk and though admitting that I am not enough to protect you is a direct hit on my ego, it's the truth" Jungkook was fast to explain. His tattooed arms caging him tightly by the waist as if he would disappear the moment he lets him go.
His stomach churned at the soft gesture.
"Jungkook's right Jiminnie. You know, I really hate his guts, but as of this moment, I should give him credit for coming up with a plan like this" Jin spoke, giving Jungkook a small and a ghost smile.
"You're really lucky this morning cause we got here at the right moment. Have we arrived a second late Jimin, that man would've jabbed you and knocked you out right then and there" concern was very visible on Yoongi's face as he butted into the conversation.
Yoongi's right. If they haven't surprisingly arrived at the right moment, his corpse would have been found on a river right now- floating. Just like what Yuri and her little psychotic lovesick partner did on Jisoo.
"So, how long will you guys be staying here?" he asked, his spare hand rubbing Jungkook's tattooed ones.
"Until we're assured that your safe" said Taehyung.
He couldn't help himself from tearing up a bit. Up until now, he still haven't completely processed every single thing that has happened after getting a job at Jungkook's company. His cold-hearted boss turned out to be his super sweet and cute husband. His Jin-hyung turned out to be his girl bestfriend's trusted ally. Then, he got one hell of a best friend in the name of Kim Taehyung. And then there's the Min Yoongi jjang jjang man boong boong- the man who spits fire but is actually really soft inside. His tsundere hyung. And there's the sunshine goofball who shines brighter than the sun itself, his best friend's honeybunch sugarplum pumpy-umpy-umpkin sweetiepie, Jung Hoseok. All of then are way too good for him.
"But how about work?" spending time with his friends would be really great, but they also have their own life to live. He can't afford to steal their time just because he needs protection. That would be selfish of him.
"Your company needs your presence Namjoonie hyung" god, he owns a freaking company. He just can't leave it behind!
"And how about you Hoseok hyung? You're a doctor. When duty calls, you should be there" a doctor will always be a doctor. Whenever someone needs their help, regardless of what they're doing or wherever on Earth they are, they should dash and help the patient. Hoseok can't possibly do that when he's stuck with him in this suburb town.
"And Yoongi-hyung? You can't possibly make music here. As far as I remember, you need to be in a quiet place to gain inspiration. With Taehyung's presence here, that would be far from possible" a faint 'hey' from no other than Taehyung resounded in the room. But hey, he's just telling facts here. How can Yoongi find a quiet place when there's him and Taehyung? They're the dynamic 95 duo- and they're called dynamic for an apparent reason.
"Jin hyung, I can't afford to burden all of you. I mean, I'm sure Jungkook and I can find some other way" this was him trying hard to convince everyone not to put their life on the risk for the sake of his damn safety. If his life alone would be enough for Choi Yuri to stop messing with him, with them, then he would gladly offer his life.
