"W-what do you mean.. taken away?" Jimin asked, voice slightly shaking. Jungkook sighed as he sat closer to Jimin.
"Yoongi has a friend from the Philippines. Coincidentally, he was the one who took your case two years ago. Jimin, he found a hanky that was filled with chloroform in the car" Jimin's tears suddenly fell. He didn't know what to feel but his eyes were automatic in releasing his tears.
"What does that mean?" he asked the younger who was now caressing his face.
"You were kidnapped. We are still not 100% sure, but I have a strong feeling you were" Jungkook answered, eyes fully fixed on Jimin's brown ones.
"No" Jimin shook his head, gently pushing away Jungkook's calloused hands from his face, instantly missing the warmth it offered.
To say the least, Jungkook was shocked over Jimin's reaction. But the gloom in the older's eyes clenched Jungkook's heart painfully.
"You shouldn't assume on things Jungkook. What if I really did cheated on you?" Jimin said, unable to look at the younger on the eye. Jungkook gently reached for Jimin's chin, urging him to look at him in the eye.
"I know how much you love me baby. I'm confident on that one. And I know you wouldn't break the promise we had for each other" the sincerity on Jungkook's voice calmed Jimin down. Yet, at the same time, he felt mad.
"The why didn't you searched for me when I ran away if you' were confident?" it was a slip of the tongue. Even Jimin was surprised with his words. He was the one at fault and he shouldn't put the blame unto someone else.
"Because I love you too much that I was overwhelmed by the pain" the younger answered, looking directly into Jimin's eyes "But believe me, I searched for you. I want to demand an explanation but then someone told me you had already gone to the Philippines. At that time, all I had was my pride. And I let it eat me. I stopped looking for you" now Jimin wasn't the only one crying. A lone tear escaped Jungkook's eyes. It hurt Jimin to see such a strong man crying for him so he wiped away his tear away with his trembling hands.
"We can confirm all of these when my memory comes back" Jimin bravely voiced out while running his thumb Jungkook's cheeks, tracing the dried tear. Jungkook did the same.
Another group of fat tears cascaded down Jimin's face. His heart was racing and yet, he felt light-hearted. Almost as if safe. But he did not understood why he felt that way. It isn't love, he convinced himself. Not yet. It's too early to say he sees Jungkook that way. He doesn't even remember him.
"The hyungs will help me get through the investigation" Jungkook informed. Jimin wasn't even shocked by Jungkook's friends offering them help. He can see how much they love the youngest. They weren't only friends. They were family.
"I guess for now, we should just go with the flow" Jimin suggested, bringing his hands away from the younger's face.
"What do you mean go with the flow?" Jungkook's face contorted. Jimin unconsciously fiddled with his fingers. He knew perfectly how Jungkook had read his words.
Jimin nervously bit at his lip before speaking.
"Let's just act like how normal husbands do" a beautiful red tint splashed unto Jimin's cheeks. The sight brought a smile on Jungkook's face. For a second, he thought Jimin wanted to be away from him for the time being, but after hearing the older's suggestion, Jungkook has never felt happier in his life.
"How?" the younger asked, teasing. Jimin, however was too busy blushing to even notice the playful tone on Jungkook's innocent face.
"I don't know? Maybe start by sleeping together?" the older turned redder- if that was even possible considering how red he already was, much to Jungkook's enjoyment.
