Chapter Fifteen

My hospital visit was long and drawn out process for two days, Hadin hasn't come to see me or try to explain himself to me since I asked him to leave me alone two days ago. Today I have one more exam then I get to go back to Farmington. Ashlynn has been a saint; she has literally been in Bangor with me for almost a week and her wedding is a week away. I feel so guilty for her staying with me and not planning her wedding.

"Don't kill me when we go back to the apartment." Ashlynn states.

"Um, why?" I ask her as we sit and eat Chinese food that she ordered for us.

"Because I kind of redid your bedroom." Ashlynn says stuffing her mouth with food. I laugh.

"That's fine. It needed a make-over." I smile. She looks at me. She knows Hadin and I broke up but doesn't know the extent of the break-up. I debate on telling her, that's her brother in law. "What? Your looking at me weird." I shake my head.

"When are you going to tell me the full story of what happened with you and Hadin?" Ashlynn requests. I look down at the food in my hands and put my fork inside the container. I look at Ashlynn.

"You know how detective Jarrod said that he thought Connor had help finding me here?" I ask her. She shakes her head. "Well he did and it was Hadin." I whisper. Ashlynn's mouth drops open in shock. "That night he walked me home at the party. Connor showed up and was looking for me. When Hadin confronted him. Connor requested to speak with Hadin, Liam, Maddie, Jessica and Cole. Connor offered them a million dollars to break up Raymond and I, Maddie volunteered Hadin. After Hadin did that task. Connor upped the pay to two million because he wanted Hadin to make me fall in love with him and then deliver me to Connor like a god damn package." I finish. Tears are breaking from my eyes. "Hadin told me he called off everything after I told him what happened with Connor for the past few years. But I honestly can't even look at him right now. Everything we were was a lie." I cry.

"Oh my god. I had no idea." Ashlyn whispers. I don't think she can think of anything else to say.

"And all this time I thought that he was hiding something about Paige." I laugh whipping my tears away.

"Not to make what happened about me. But are you going to be okay to be his partner at the wedding?" she wonders.

"I'll be fine. That's your big day. I can push it away for a day or two." I smile at her.

"Okay." Ashlynn moves closer to me and hugs me. "I am so sorry if I would have known." Ashlynn says tears leaving her eyes.

"I know." I sniffle.

"Am I interrupting?" A voice comes from the door of my hospital room. We both turn to see the doctor standing there. Ashlynn moves away from my bed. The doctor comes over to me. "Most of your tests came back negative." The doctor begins.

"What do you mean most of them?" I whisper.

"There is one that came back positive." The doctor states.

"Which one?" Ashlynn asks.

"With everyone we have to sedate or do excessive testing on we run a pregnancy test. To make sure we are doing the right testing's." My heart stops when he said pregnancy test. Ashlynn looks at me holding my hand.

"Which one came back positive?" I whisper.

"Miss Matthews it seams you were pregnant." The doctor tells me.

"Wait. What do you mean were?" Ashlynn asks because I can't.

"With the trauma of the attack, and the force of the kick in the stomach, while you were in your medical induced coma, it seams you had a miscarriage." The doctor tells me.
