As soon as I open my eyes I'm rushing to get ready before Hadin wakes up. I want to walk to my car and leave for work before I'm stuck in his truck with him for two hours. I can't do it not after what happened last night. Once I am in a white shirt and black skirt, I grab my suit coat and heels. I walk out of the room trying not to make a noise. I am almost to the elevator when Hadin comes out of the kitchen holding a mug full of coffee.
"Um, why are you acting so weird?" Hadin asks me. I take a breath and turn to him.
"I didn't want to wake you. I have to go get my car." I tell him.
"No. I'm driving you remember?" Hadin reminds me. I close my eyes and shake my head.
"Right I thought you would have changed you're mind, because of how late you were up last night." I babble.
"Are you sure that's what it is?" Hadin asks me.
"Of course, it is." I lie.
"Well come on then I'll drive you to work." Hadin says putting down the mug and walking towards me. Hadin hits the elevator button as we enter inside. We stand there in silent.
"So that song was great." I break the silence. "Did you send it to Jace?" I ask him.
"Yeah I sent over our recording this morning." Hadin tells me.
"Wait our recording?" I panic.
"Yeah. It was meant for a duet. So, our recording was the right fit." Hadin tells me. "I'm not even sure if their going to use it or not. Ashlynn was talking about a calibration of Shaina Twain songs." Hadin adds.
"Oh Okay." I lean back in my seat. "Have you written any other songs?" I ask him.
"I guess." He tells me.
"Your voice is amazing. You should really think about having someone listen to you." I tell him.
"I don't know its just for fun honestly." Hadin tells me.
"Okay." I say looking out my window. "Can I hear more songs?" I ask him.
"I don't know." Hadin shakes his head. I return my eyes back to the window.
Hadin reaches and turns on the radio. My favorite song comes on Marry Me by Thomas Rhett and that's when he starts singing along with the radio. I look over at him and I think my smile is covering my entire face.
"I'll wear my black suite, black tie, out in the back, doing a strong shot of whiskey straight out the flask I'll try to make it through without crying so nobody sees that even though she's getting married but she don't want to marry me." Hadin sings. He continues singing the song which makes the time fly faster. Sooner then I know it we are pulling up to Brooker Publishing. I look over at Hadin who has turned down the radio.
"Sara." Hadin whispers. "I just want to tell you that I will still be here for you. No matter what. I am going to be waiting for you. I don't care how long it takes for you to forgive me or even if you decide to forgive me. I love you and you are it for me." Hadin tells me.
"Hadin. I want you to be happy." I whisper to him. "I don't want you to wait for me." I tell him.
"You are the one for me, Sara. I don't want to waist my time with anyone else. You and I are end game." He tells me.
"Thank you for the ride Hadin." I tell him as I turn to get out he grabs my arm. I freeze. I am too afraid to turn to him.
"Call me an hour before you get out." He tells me. I shake my head and continue to exit out of the truck. I walk towards the doors when I don't hear his truck pull away. As I walk up to the front door of Brooker Publishing, Tod opens the door for me.
