Chapter Eighteen

Hadin.

As Jessica pulls up to the frat house I see his black transam in the driveway. That only makes my rage get worse.

"Listen don't do anything stupid." Jessica tells me.

"He made me lose the one person I could truly love Jess, all bets are off." I tell her as I get out of the car. Jessica quickly follows me into the frat house. I slam the door wide open looking all around for his smug face. I walk towards the game room hearing voices. Then I hear him. I slam open the game room doors. Cole, Liam, Maddie and Connor are sitting in the room.

"Well look who it is." Connor says. "How's our girl?" He asks me.

"What the fuck are you doing here Connor? I told you it's over, no one is going to do that damn job." I snap at him. Jessica follows me as I move into the game room.

"Hadin, don't you know by now I want Sara. I will get her. You will never be happy with her." Connor tells me. "how'd she take the news?" He asks me.

"I will tell you this one more time Connor. Leave Sara alone or so help me I will kill you." I threaten him and he just laughs.

"I am not afraid of you Hadin. You should be more afraid of me then I should be of you." Connor tells me. "I can find any other dumb college students to take this job. I'm coming back to you all to make it right." Connor offers us.

"I will never give her over to you Connor. I would rather die." I tell him.

"That can be arranged." Connor whispers. "So Sara told you all about me?" He asks. I just look at him. "I can tell you things as well. I can tell you how good she felt while I was inside her. I can tell you the way she called my name. I can tell you the way she screamed." Connor starts to continue when I can't hear anymore. My fist connects with his face to get him to be quiet. Connor laughs as he stands back up and his fist connects with my jaw line. I fall back into the door frame. I stand back up and tackle him to the floor. I start to punch him over and over in the face.

"Dude! Get off you're going to kill him!" Cole scream as he and Liam pull me off of Connor.

"Get the fuck out of here! Don't you ever try to come near her again!" I scream at Connor.

Connor spits blood onto the floor as I watch him walk towards the door. He leaves the frat house. We all hear his transam start up and drive off. I look at Jessica.

"I need to get back." I tell her.

"I'll drive you." Jessica walk out of the room. I know I scarred her tonight. I think I scarred everyone in this room.

"Hadin." Cole stops me. "He won't stop."

"I know." I agree.

"How's Sara?" He asks me.

"She's safe. That's all that matters." I tell him as I leave the frat house game room. As I walk out to Jessica's car getting in the passengers seat. "What?" I ask her.

"Liam gave Ashlynn something to give to Sara." Jessica tells me.

"What?" I ask her.

"His footage of the past few months. Liam told me that he got the perfect love story on camera. Start to middle. He put it together and gave it to Ashlynn and told her that this would help Sara." Jessica tells me.

"It' doesn't matter. We aren't together and I don't think we will ever be together again. I don't think she will ever forgive me." I take a breath.

"Give her some time. If it's true love Nothing will keep you apart." Jessica tells me.

I shake my head and look out my window as Jessica drives off bringing me back to Rangeley.
