Sky is laying down on her couch enjoying the quiet when her pager starts beeping making her groan out before picking it up to see the 911. She quickly grabs her shoes and bag before heading out to go to the hospital

Cristina: "I'm so not tired anymore." she says as the group of interns along with Bailey enter the room to see a bunch of patients with bad injuries being brought in as other doctors move around the room quickly
George: "Me neither."
Addison: "I've got a third-trimester burn victim here. I'll need some help."
Bailey: "lzzie, go."
Izzie: "Yes. Have a nice nap."
Sky: "Dr. Shepherd, could you take a look at this?"
Paramedic: "Got the leg!" he yells out running into the room holding a severed leg in the air

Paramedic: "He lost a lot of blood at the scene. Pressure dressings applied, two large-bore lVs started."
Sky: "Anything for pain?" she asks following him into the ER as they bring a patient through
Paramedic: "Morphine. Five migs given so far."
Sky: "Dr. Bailey, who you got?"
Bailey: "Cristina, go."
Cristina: "Yes!"
Sky: "Rule out other injuries and book an OR."
Richard: "Sky I got this one." he says as she nods at him and he moves in the direction the gourney goes in as Derek comes over to him

As people move throughout the room a gourney is brought in with two people impaled by a metal pole

Paramedic: "His BP's steady at ninety over palp. She's had two hypotensive episodes to the low seventies."
Burke: "Couldn't get a saw in?"
Paramedic: "Not without moving them."
Sky: "Which would've been a bad idea."
Burke: "Did you bolus her with fluids?"
Paramedic: "We're pushing it open..." she says as she tells them about the patient's condition as they look into the room "Ok, then. You guys got it from here."
Bailey: "Hey, uh...You were at the scene?"
Paramedic: "Yeah. Won't be too bad for you. Lots of carnage. Not a lot of survivors."
Burke: "They're never gonna fit into CT. We're gonna be flying blind. Get X-rays and labs, then page me."
Woman: "Excuse me?" she calls out from the room making the three doctors go over to where the woman and man is sitting on a hospital bed with the pole in between them
Sky: "Hi, I'm Dr. Rivers. You shouldn't turn your head. You want to try to move as little as possible."
Woman: "Oh. Ok. So are you gonna pull this pole out of us anytime soon?"
Man: "Touch uncomfortable."
Burke: "Sorry, we can't until we get a better look at what's going on internally. I assure you we will work as quickly as possible."
Woman: "Well, in that case, does anybody have a breath mint?" she asks making the man give her an offensive look "For me, not for you."
Burke: "Get them going." he whispers to them as he walks out the room
Bailey: "O'Malley? Get them to X-ray."
George: "Thanks."
Sky: "Move them extremely carefully."
George: "This never would've happened before the elevator."
Meredith: "You go, George."

Bailey: "Alex, cover the ER. You can do sutures while you get over your newfound fear of scalpels."
Meredith: "That was mean, even for you." she says as Sky and her follow behind Bailey
Bailey: "You are drunk. Go get yourself a banana bag lV, put it in your arm and then find me. Do not speak to any more patients, do not practice any medicine."
Meredith: "Well, should I just go home?"
Bailey: "Unless you drank the whole bottle, you'll be sober in a few hours. And the lV fluids will head off your hangover. Then you can assist with the many mangled victims here. Besides, if I'm not going home, nobody's going home. Ten years of marriage. I didn't even get to finish my damn lobster." she says snarkly as her and Sky walk away from Meredith
Sky: "If it makes you feel any better leftover lobster is actually quite good."
Bailey: "It doesn't."
Sky: "I tried. Find me when the xrays are done." she says as the two women go separate ways

George: "Is it going straight through her spine?"
Bailey: "It is. T8's completely crushed."
Derek: "Hey. What happened?" he asks coming into the room and seeing Meredith with an IV bag in her arm
Meredith: "Uh, tequila."
Bailey: "I'm keeping an eye on her."
Sky: "Look at this." she says pointing at the images on the screen
Derek: "These people are still alive?"
George: "They're still making small talk."
Sky: "Pole's tamponading the wounds as far as we can see."
Derek: "It's hitting the aorta."
Burke: "And look at him. It's right in line with his inferior vena cava."
George: "Is there any way to operate without separating them?"
Derek: "No."
George: "But if we move the pole then..."
Bailey: "They'll both bleed out."
Burke: "What if we don't move the pole? What if we move one of the patients off the pole to get the saw in there?"
Sky: "Then we can hold the pole steady in the other one. Move it very slowly, and repair the damage as we go." she says nodding her head at his plan
George: "Who? Which would you move?"
Burke: "With her aortic injuries, her chances of survival are extremely slim no matter what we do. But if we move her, we have a real shot at saving him."
Derek: "Well, I could argue since her injuries are more extensive, we should move him. Give her the best shot we can."
Meredith: "So basically whoever you move doesn't stand a chance? So how do you choose? How do you decide who gets to live?"
Burke: "We have to decide soon if we want to save one of them." he says as they walk along the halls
