My name is Arielle Kate Hall, but mostly my family and friends call me with Arielle. It’s been three years already that I’ve stop for work. Yes, I resigned to my previous job at the Bill’s Company for some healing process, you know after what Adam did to me. Though, some sort of the past is still fresh from where it all started but good thing is I’m almost there to forget it, little by little.
Now thanks to my family and friends, for giving me their shoulder to lean on when I needed it the most. Thanks, to this fresh breeze of Beverly Hills and the Californian spirit of mine to forget the pain and ache inside. Now, an old book had closed and I’m getting a new one to write new things about myself, life and everything. No more ache, no more expectations, no more love, and no more boys.
“Good morning!” I greeted as soon as I reached at the dining room seeing mom and dad talking so serious. “Oh! Did I interrupt something?” I said changing my mood.
“Nothing! Were just talking about stuffs!” Dad said and gave a smile. For sure like an impression of a fake one.
“So! Hmmm… I’m planning to look for a job maybe this week or next week, I heard from Maya that she knew a company who is hiring the same position I had from my previous company so, I think I got to try that one.” I stated. Looking at them with their blank reaction like I’m suspecting something isn’t right between them.
“Wow! That’s going to be great, sweetie! You should try that one.” Mom said smiling. Another fake one.
“I’m sorry to ask. But is there something wrong between you two?” I couldn’t take it anymore but ask, mom gave dad a worried look and I am absolutely right, “Have you been into an argue again?” I asked,
“No where not! Were all great and fine!” Mom said.
“Okay!” I said and sigh in front of them. “I’ll just bring Winter with me to get some walk outside. See you, later.” I said and get my golden retriever, Winter with me.
Mom and dad, gone through a lot in twenty one years of being together. These past three years of staying with them was like a different one. They’ve never been this close like before, I always noticed that they talk about things without being caught, like they are hiding it from me and my sister Jana. I hope that it won’t lead to something I’m thinking of every time I saw them arguing.
While in the middle of my walk with Winter, what I love about Beverly Hills is the silent streets and well-disciplined place. The lovely people and the nicest neighbors. Not until, a fast car pass through me just an inch that could almost hit me.
“Oh my gosh! Are you driving insane?” I scream. When the car stopped at the corner, I guess the driver just noticed me scolding outside then pulling down the window and the driver sneak at me,
“I’m so sorry! You shouldn’t be walking that close in the lane.” He said almost shouting good for me to hear it.
“So! It’s my fault now?” I said almost pissed out. “Your the one who’s on the wheels and even drive so fast, now you put the blame on me, it won’t make you look cool, braggart!” I said already pissed off.
“Hey… Hey! Calm down! I don’t meant to do that, okay? And I don’t want to make this whole conversation tense. If I bother you this hard, I’m so sorry! Is there something I can do for you to forgive me?” He said politely.
“No! Just forget about it!” I said and being so embarrassed for myself on how I reacted to him. “Next time if you are driving you should be careful.” I said can’t even dare to stare at him.
“Thank you, madam!” I glanced and he just gave me a smile and wink with me so playfully. Braggart!
