Chapter Twenty-Two

We returned at Los Angeles and everything is still the same. My inner thoughts was still left at Canada. I can't have this normal contact with Roran even in a small conversation. I feel guilty for Roran, his being this whole man figure that you wished to have but soon your still stuck with your past and I don't know how to get rid of it.

Today is weekend and luckily Jana went to visit me by herself, so I got someone to talk about it, maybe ask any advice on how will I overcome this shaky situation.

"Its around nine in the morning but your still not cooking for breakfast. If mom was here she's gonna tear you alive." Jana said that both of us smirk. "I noticed that you seemed so pale or if it was because your at home?" She added while cleaning the pan to cook for breakfast.

"No! I'm fine!" I said defensively and smile, trying to cover that pale that she saw from me.

"Okay! So! How's work?" She asked,

"Still the same. It's progressing a lot after at Canada dialogues." I said calmly,

"Well! How about Roran?" She asked slightly giggling,

"Were doing great!" I simply answered and smile. Pretending again. "By the way, Jana, when the moment you and Luke kissed for the first time... What did you felt?" I asked without thinking what might Jana responded,

"The first time we kissed... Oh! Yea! I was both nervous and excited but to mentioned it was extremely the cutest." Jana said giggling,

"Have you not tried that feeling like your heart is pumping so fast in the middle of the kiss then suddenly you just remembered your ex?" I asked. She smirked and look at me,

"Why are you asking those kind of questions?" She suspiciously asked, "Did you and Roran kissed?" She added,

"Of course not! It was just a reference question on the article I saw on the internet, Jana!" I defensively said,

"Fine!" Jana said and rolled her eyes, "To answer the question you asked, I felt that once but I did not remember my ex." She answered smirking,

"Oh! Thanks for answering." I said and just drop myself to a deep sigh and lean my hands over my chin.

As the clock turns two in the afternoon, Jana and I invited Maya to drop by at the house and we just watched movies, then talk a lot of girl stuffs, how Jana prepared for her wedding and what matters in a girl bonding is the foods.

We watched The Notebook, The Vow and A Walk to Remember which is Maya and I's favorite ever since when we first watched it, just sad that it left Jana cried at the moment that Jamie and Landon married and so till Jamie died and Landon, proved of how she loved Jamie till the end.

"Why it has to end that way?" Jana said in her teary eyes, "Jamie, could just survive after all, right?" She added,

"But Nicholas Sparks just let her died, to prove to everyone that love is not always what you saw but it would also be meaningful to just feel it." Maya said smiling,

When the girl thing hangout got into its final minute when Jana decided to go home,
