Chapter Twenty

I woke from my alarm ringing and when I checked the time it’s still six thirty in the morning, when,

“Wake up!” I tiredly moved as soon as Lana shake me to get up, “Remember, we had this Canada bonding today!” She said,

“It’s too early, I’ve slept late last night.” I said still wrapping myself with the thick blanket.

“Unless, I’ll call Roran to wake you up.” Lana said,

“Fine! I’m up!” I said sitting at the bed, “Don’t use that as a funny thing.” I said and almost got pissed, “So what are we going to do today?” I asked still rubbing my eyes like a kid,

“Roran said, were going to Denny’s the nearest diner chain that is open for twenty four hours to have our breakfast at, then after that were heading to a park and maybe we can have some time for shopping!” Lana said so excited,

“Is that too much for the budget?” I said,

“Roran said, he prepared so much for this day and I guess, that’s a don’t worry I can handle this situation thing.” Lana added and smile, “So! Move now so we can have a very long time.” She said beyond excited,

I took a very chilling shower and and grab this boyfriend high-waist jeans, tacking in a white plain shirt and put a black belt around my waist and a pair of converse now I’m ready for the day.

From our hotel, to the restaurant, to the park and everything is so amazing. At ten thirty, Russel and Lana went to another park just a walk next two streets, while me and Roran stayed still at the park watching the people pass and go through the streets and the kids that play around, then I remember when dad used to bring me on a park and I could play all day while my dad is tired of chasing me because I always ran and ran, like I don’t want to miss any single angle of the park. Those old good days, I got a smile on my face that Roran noticed,

“What are you smiling at?” He asked,

“Nothing! I just remembered when I was seven when dad always chasing me from end to end of the park because of running around that I end up making him tired, that he wished to never bring me back to a park ever again.” I said smirking to the point of remembering this stuffs.

“Your living your life at the moment.” Roran said and smile. “Same thing with me but different story, since I don’t have a sibling my dad and mom is my playmates they eventually get tired of me because I’m the one that is chasing them…” He paused and smirked, “Then they would say, “Okay! We’re done! I’m too old for chasing game!” He said and we both smirked, “Just that things are left to be memories forever.” He added and frown a little,

“What do you mean?” I asked curiously,

“My mom died because of bone cancer and four years after my dad was diagnosed of heart failure… My aunt Susan wanted to sponsor the transplant but dad insisted not to undergo the surgery because he believed what’s the point of living when he’s not with mom anymore.” He said,

I feel so sick inside knowing that before he lost everything he had. I never thought that he’d came to that situation from his parents and to his girlfriend, after what he had now.

“So! After a year dad died.” He finished, “Before, I thought I’m going to be next to die because everyone around me is dying. Not until I meet Stella, she’s my mom’s friend and made me realized that I still had one thing in me and that is to cherish Stella, she was my second mom afterwards till I reached twenty-one and transferred the company from my parents to mine. Now! They left me with this and I’m happy that along the way I meet new people, friends, family and…” He paused and stared at me without blinking like while I stared back at him.

The stare is weird and intimate then something happened in a second, no feels like a minute to me. I closed my eyes and realized he was kissing me. He was kissing me! This is so fine and romantic but my heart suddenly beat fast and my head is flashing some things like Adam. What? He parted and I looked so confused about myself after that I can’t even stare back at Roran,

“Are you okay? Did I did that wrong?” Roran asked so confused, “I’m so sorry, if I ever did that.” He added.

I sat there next to him still no idea what to do. Should I say something at him? Should I just leave it? Should I make it as a confirmation that Roran loves me? Or have I really moved on about the thought of Adam and me? Luckily, Russel and Lana came back,

“This is so fun! Can we do an extend for this!” Lana said with giggles and excitement seems like he really enjoyed the day.

While me I’m not feeling, okay. Aside, of that kiss but the thought of Adam that suddenly appeared on my head is like making me sick in a Canadian version.

“Hmmm… Can I just go back at the hotel?” I said mindlessly without any expression,

“You want me to go with you?” Roran offered, but after what happened I don’t think so.

“I’m fine, Mr. Sanders! Just that I really need to rest.” I turned away and call this rental car and head back to the hotel.
