Let's Spell, Us (Us, Book One Completed)

Chapter Seven

Weeks had passed and everything is progressing so well. The company is being on it’s highest rank over the city and the employees are doing well too. Mr. Sanders, is becoming a phenomenal entrepreneur from the past two years and adding this one year but unlike those first week we had, we are now friends and we both deal with each others differences. I became friends with everyone, like Brenda, as my funny friend, Stella the so called eldest of my circle, Lana as my get away shopping pal, and Clarisse as my jogging buddy. I tend to tell them about my secrets but not all.

“Hi! Brenda!” I greeted as I arrived at the office like the way it used too, twenty minutes early.

“Good morning, Arielle! I really like your outfit today!” She said and walked with me through my office.

“Oh! Really! Thank you, I like yours too!” I said and smile, “What do we have here for today?” I asked as I opened my office, “Oh!” In my surprise to see a two dozen of pink and red roses in my table, “Who gave those?” I asked, but I know exactly who might that be, Adam. But, how and why?

“Yea! I don’t know, but there’s this guy, a tall and brown hair and to add that handsome face, arrived here just a hour ago. He asked if there’s a named Arielle Hall working here and I did not hesitate to say, yes…” After hearing those lines, I got my head floating and thought about Adam.

“Oh! Thank you, for accompanying him.” I simply said,

“You know him?” Brenda asked, I know she’s my friend but I don’t want them to know my deepest secrets about my past relationship. The only person that I trusted and knew everything is Maya.

“Nope!” I defensively said, “I mean, yes, his my college friend.” I added trying not to make it fake as possible.

“Okay! Send him my regards anyway!” Brenda said giggling as she left my office.

I checked the flowers to see a card slipped in the flowers. I opened it and it was my surprise to see an  wedding invitation. Adam is going to get married. I feel stunned when I read the invitation. This so unfair for me, but I know he deserves it. I just can’t believe it.

Trying to pass that news off my mind and get myself a little busy. It’s already twelve noon and later I’ll take my lunch at my favorite spot. When suddenly,

“Whoa!” I looked up to see, Mr. Sanders being shocked seeing those dozens of flowers. I try to hide the invitation card but it would became obvious to him so I just leave it there, “Those roses are so fancy!” He said and smile, “Who gave it?” He asked,

“Yea! They are my favorites, they’re from my friend.” That’s a too good description for a cheater ex boyfriend slash ex fiance. I murmur inside my head.

“Oh! Anyway, wanna go for lunch with Brenda and Stella?” Roran asked, you know what, I really wanted to call him Roran in more specific but we’ve agreed with this so I had to always go with,

“Of course, I’d love to Mr. Sanders. I’ll just clean up this…” I was about to finish when the invitation card accidentally fell on the floor, “Oh! I’m too messy!” I said smirking and picked up the invitation card but failed to get first the actual paper where the letter was written for me.
